“It was an amazing experience. The breakfast was really good and well served. The room we stayed for two nights was really big and cosy. Also the staff was really nice and helpful. They didn't even charge us for the room service fee due to the kitchen being late on our meals. We will definitely return in the future!”

“Overall a good hotel, with good amenities and spacious rooms. The staff were also helpful and nice. All was very clean, from room to sheets and towels. The location is very quiet but still quite close to Nazare/Alcobaca (by car). There are some points that still need improvements: no proper ventilation system, hence a lot of humidity from the bathroom use / rooms are a bit gloomy, even with all lights turned on / the heating system seemed to be preset at 20 degrees (it's true we didn't ask at the reception about its settings).”

“We tried to play the course in January but they seem to have a major drainage problem as the course was in very bad condition, it would be amazing in the summer, it’s a shame as there is a very good set up, the only other thing was how cold and empty the place felt, and very expensive hire items like buggies 47.50€, electric trolley (that constantly wanted to turn left) 22€ and they will even charge you for a pull trolley 6€. If I was to come back it wouldn’t be till the spring into summer months”

“Nice hotel. You can reach it only by car, other ways are too complicated. The hotel has a pool, a decent breakfast, and ok rooms. It is located in about 20-30 min drive from Nazaré and close to nice small city with beautiful monastery.”

“I made reservations in October. Prepaid and they immediately charged my credit card. I never received a confirmation number . I have called and left dozens of messages. I have emailed reservations and the general manager dozens of times. No reply from them EVER!! I have alerted my credit card company that this hotel is a FRAUD!!! Hopefully, my credit card company will refund the money. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS!!! I received a response on this review telling me to delete this post!!! I will NOT. You indeed charged my credit and refused to answer any of my email or calls. Hotel Mare only replied after I póster my experience. They provide the sane email that I used to contact them and resolve this matter. I even stated in my email and my phone messages that I would be reporting you as fraude to my credit card company. Check your récords, October 12 reservations made for two rooms. Also, check your email and phone messages!!”

“We spent 9 nights here while finding our feet when we first moved to Portugal and it was an absolute delight. We booked through a third party site that messed up our booking, and the reception team helped us sort it out in a matter of minutes with no hesitation. They were welcoming to our cats and gave really good food recommendations in the area. Room was spotless and the cleaning staff super friendly to us and our cats. The breakfast spread was so so good, variety, quality, and once again the staff just made it even more enjoyable. Everything you need is in walking distance. The only “issue” we had was that we had no control over the AC in our room, it’s a central system, but honestly everything else made that seem insignificant. Thank you for our warm welcome to Portugal. Highly recommend!”

“At first I thought ok, not bad, the room look nice and clean. But then, I found hairs on my pillowcase, humidity bugs all over the bathroom, and music all night long I still have no idea from where,made me totally change my mind and I will never recommend this Hotel to anyone I know or care about....😡 Even the breakfast they "offer" is the worst Hotel breakfast I have ever seen, with very little food options.”
