“This was the best Austrian experience we could have ever asked for. We came in hoping to find a last minute table on a Saturday (try to reserve ahead if you can - this place is popular!) and they initially apologized and said that they didn’t have any more tables available. That’s when Stefan (the owner - far right in the image) walked up and found us a space to eat and enjoy the evening - and boy did we!! We ended up being the last guests there - drinking Schnaps and singing along with the locals to music from all over the world at the big Stammtisch. The food was excellent - traditional and amazing. But above all, The people at this restaurant are so welcoming and they gave us a once in a lifetime experience. We couldn’t stop Smiling and we couldn’t be more grateful. “I was here for dinner with a group, best place in Dornbirn. I tried the Asparagus Risotto and it was awesome. I normally like the chili flakes in my risotto so I asked for them - I was given chili oil instead and it was super hot 😅😅. I had to order an ice cream to cool off I went with Chocolate ice cream with whipped cream and it was a BOMB ❤️. This place is a must visit!”

“The hotel is simply amazing and upholds high standards. The rooms are extremely comfortable, complete with a double bed, shower, and balcony. However, it may take a little time to figure out how to operate the lights. Unfortunately, there is no kettle in the room, which can be inconvenient. If you are travelling from the UK, it may be worth brushing up on your German, as the staff's English language skills are limited. This language barrier can be frustrating when trying to communicate. The hotel is located a 27-minute walk away from Bregenz. Overall, my stay was very pleasant, and I might consider returning in the future.”

“We had a very relaxing stay at this somewhat remote sport Hotel. Some of the highlights include a fantastic buffet breakfast, very comfortable rooms and a friendly bartender. The hotel offers a very beautiful pool and sauna area, however, it may not suit everybody’s taste because it’s a dedicated nudist area. For those arriving with her electric car, the hotel offers charging, which was a very nice bonus. Additionally, the hotel offers nice amenities like a billiard table and ample free parking. An absolute highlight, is the beautifully presented breakfast buffet, which was slightly offset by the unhelpful staff in the morning. Notably, the hotel did not reserve dinner reservations for hotel guests, unless they have booked when advance. One tip we would offer you, you would be much better served across the street at the sister restaurant at the hotel. We had a fantastic dining experience there. A solid four stars for this four-star hotel.”

“We stayed at the BW Leonhard on 27 December 2023, and our stay was absolutely fantastic. We had been traveling all day from the US, so we were pretty exhausted. The front desk staff welcoming and friendly. The gentleman got us checked in and got our keys to us very quicky so we could get up to our room. The room was clean and comfortable, and just what we needed after being up for so long. We didn't feel like going out to eat, so we ordered room service. The pizza we shared was very good. Not exceptional, but definitely above average. The view from the room was also fantastic. Breakfast the next morning was probably the best part of our stay. I think it was the most extensive, high quality, and complete buffet breakfast we've ever had, world wide. It was amazing. The only "negative" think I can say about the hotel is that the lift is a little weird. Of the two elevators, only one goes all the way down the the parking garage. So if you're on an upper floor, and take the wrong one, you end up waiting in the lobby for the other side to come down. This was our first time in Austria, so we only ended up staying here one night, however we're planning a return trip next year and this property is absolutely where we'll be staying when we are anywhere close to Feldkirch.”

“We were four when we went to Amrai Suites in February 2023. They were midst of a general renovation of their hotel BUT it was awesome! Super nice location for a fair amount of money. The wellness area is split in two parts. One in the basement area and the other in the top floor. There was a gym and yoga (for free!). Food was amazing (the Austrians truly mastered the concept of Wellness hotels and food). We will come again! As a Swiss, Amrai is super nicely located close to the border. We only had 90-120 minutes from Zurich.”

“Summer 2023. Everything was just fantastic. Location, service and facilities are great. The staff was friendly and helpful, great job. Self-service check in was great, no issues communication with the staff was great. The hotel organised a small summer event with some ice cream for the guests, fantastic idea. The sewing pool, sauna and fitness area were all great. Parking facilities are spacious VW transporter 5 fits without any problem.”

“I am giving this hotel 5 stars, although if I could I would make it only 4.5 stars. I think overall it's good value for money. I liked the breakfast and dinner buffets. The food is not amazing but for that price it is appropriate, like a 3-star hotel, I would say. We enjoyed the indoor soccer court, table tennis (more than one table would be good), pool table (would have preferred not to pay 2 Eur per game), play corner for toddlers and the location (train station is walking distance or easy access by car to gondolas and other attractions in summer). What I didn't like so much: I felt that the reception staff was a bit unfriendly (others have commented in their reviews about that as well). OK, they are probably under staffed and under paid but one could still pretend to be friendly. For example, I asked for the sauna to be turned on at 6 pm. I had to ask twice more until it was finally turned on properly and we could have a sauna at 8:30 pm but there was no apology for the delay at all. Also, I think they need to improve their ventilation system or temperature control: the restaurant and the indoor play area got very hot inside (it was early June and not yet that hot outside). How hot would it get in summer or would they use air conditioning then? Furthermore, the table tennis and play areas were closed off already at 9:30 pm and the reception area and lounge was made dark at 10 pm. So it was not possible to sit together with friends there later in the evening which I thought was a pity. Even if the staff wants to go home (understandably) couldn't the guests still have a nice area to sit (and maybe play table tennis) until at least 11 pm? Overall, it's a great place for families with children (I wouldn't go there without kids) and I very much liked the "Halbpension" (breakfast and dinner buffets) which not many hotels offer. So therefore, I would come back to this place!”
