“Really really good restaurant at a constant incredibly high standard using regional produce to create true fine cooking for Gault Millau-level Dining🍀 Hotel and Service are just as great😊 After years of visiting and truly celebrating the wonderful tastes of the Fischerwirt's dishes, yesterday evening was again a wonderful experience, like usual. Very straightforward and easygoing reservation even in times of Christmas Events, impeccable service and oh my the food has somehow gotten even more delicious! I was surprised looking at my older pictures in this review when I realized that probably we ate the same dishes last time already even though I had sworn that I never tasted a soup like this before. That is true skill! Of course they vary the dishes but even improving the Classics with a bit more creativity just excels the known levels of awesomeness and taste 🤤 What we also especially appreciate is that they are still very down to earth because they know without their regular loyal customers the best of concepts couldn't flourish, so it is still a casual restaurant per se and has the feeling of a real Austrian Wirtshaus. Another plus point is that they kindly ask whether you want to receive a Gedeck up front or not and if yes how many of the party. We love that they don't force it upon you and let you pay for it afterwards but rather you can decide (go for it - it's delicious 🤤). Only slight critique is that the red wine I had was served too cold, apart from that everything was spot on !”

“Steak 🥩 was a top notch. I’ve eaten all kinds of steaks, mostly mad ones, to the two mich star ones, and this one falls into a one star category, at least. Remember, in Europe, medium is more like Medium-rare in the states. Good place! Amazing to stay for a weekend and enjoy hiking, skiing around. For a hotel stay (called pension) the prices are reasonable, around 58-80 euros. 5 people ~€200.”

Very fresh and plentiful, all the staff was always helpful with a smile. This little town is the perfect place to relax & take in the beautiful nature. “If ever we found a place with a view, it certainly is the Hütteneckalm! After a 90 min walk with a breathtaking view we arrived at the restaurant around lunch and enjoyed a lovely Austrian meal "Bierkaasnockerl". Worth a visit, with having lunch, and if you have some energy left after the walk (we did) you can drive into Hallstatt in about 20min. Some pictures are of the way to the place, be sure to use good mountain shoes!”

“So easy to underestimate. The rooms are clean but some might find them simple. We liked them as this was a one night stop so cleanliness was all that we wanted The bathrooms were spotless, and when i say spotless i mean SPOTLESS! The staff was very friendly, always trying to help you and be there for you. We never had to look for someone to ask anything as they were very close. The food? Well, first of all, the portions are BIG! Being a well built man, portion size is of concern to me. Not to worry here, the chef has got your back! The mixed plate meats had enough meat, a big portion of fries and lots of really tasty steamed vegetables. Really tasty! The filet mix was huge, and the bread pudding small bits were amazing. Easily worth the price but a normal person can’t finish it, it’s that big. The kid schnitzel was really good and adult sized. Again, if your kid is 12, sure, but any younger one won’t be able to finish everything. All in all, the experience was also pleasant. We got a pair of Eggenberg black beer bottles and we just listened to the locals drink beer and laugh. An authentic Austrian place if you ask me!”
