“The rooms are ok, though unfortunately very noisy. Sounds from both the hallway and neighbors come through uncomfortably strong. The surroundings here are beautiful and parking is free. The restaurant was a big disappointment, twice. Both days the starter was either bland or just on the verge of gross (half the people stopped eating after a few bites). The main courses looked like starters and consisted of a small piece of meat and a few small pieces of vegetables. You'd expect a plate like this to be part of a larger 5+ -course meal, but unfortunately this was all the food we got. The only option left was to fill up your appetite on potatoes (fries). Shrinkflation dealt a severe blow here and we felt like going to the McDonalds in Geldrop afterwards. It feels that their only priority is to make food seem fancy, while completely forgetting that people actually want to eat good food. (Oh and who came up with the idea that two tiny shot glasses with mayonaise is the right amount to serve a 10-person table?) Hotel personnel is very friendly and helpful. Most people in the restaurant are as well. After staying here a few years ago, especially the restaurant was a pretty big disappointment. It was not only poor value for money, but a bad and frustrating experience overall.”

“I have to clarify that I rated the location based on how nice I thought it was. If I had to rate the accessibility by public transport they would get a failing grade. It takes 25m by car from my house and 99 minutes by public transport. We were there with a large group for a teambuilding/management strategy meeting and used a conference room and a bar in the next room at the end of our day. The service was great and so was the food. One thing I want to mention was that they booked the next guests for the conference room too soon after hours which led to them having to ask if we would please move our group to the bar to make room for their cleaners etc. Which is fine of course but I can imagine it being more of a bother if you don't have a different location to go to.”

“A beautiful remaining hotel with an interesting history. The cuisine is really very good, the choice of food excellent and the restaurant and café itself beautifully designed. There is an outdoor area with lots of seating behind the hotel which is beautifully decorated. In the summer months this area is highly recommended. The rooms are modern and spacious. Breakfast includes a variety of breads, spreads, cheeses, scrambled eggs, fruits, berries and yoghurt. I have stayed at this hotel several times and can absolutely recommend it!”

“I was tricked by all good reviews and quite a high rating on booking.com. Reality was quite disappointing. Hotel is literally old: room interior is old, windows are single glazed and old, all the doors and furniture are old. Well, you get it. The room was too cold with the outside temperature reaching +9 at night, no heater in the bathroom - had to use damp towels in the morning. The breakfast was humble and very basic. On contrary, the beds were quite comfortable and warm bed blankets saved us through the night. That's the only positive during the stay. Will not come back to this place.”

I did miss some actually glasses (for water/coffee) in the room, paper cups feel a bit cheap and are not as environmentally friendly. Bathroom was nice with a free standing bath and separate shower (i did miss tissue's in the bathroom). Room was clean and roomy. On site restaurant is adequate. Lots of on site EV charging points on the parking lot. Both normal chargers and fast chargers.”
