“I’ve stayed at many hotels in my life, and this is right up there with the best! Frankly, we were amazed at how good it was. Everything was just, well… perfect. The room was very spacious, very clean and very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom with walk-in shower was great. Service was courteous and friendly. The spacious lounge with fireplace was a great place to just relax. The restaurant next to hotel (Pier 23) was excellent too, with good wines, fast service and great food. Please don’t change anything, keep everything just as it is! We’ll be back!”

“Nice hotel in a small German city. We stayed there 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are big and everything is there. Swimming pool was also great to have, unfortunately the sauna was not available. However we got coupon for another place to compensate. Breakfast was really tasty and diverse. Two small bémols, some staff could be a bit more friendly and towels could be exchange every day (for a 4 stars hotel should be standard)”

“Very quiet and remote location. Interior is really nice. Old farm house style. Place was very busy. Rooms are also nicely decorated. Power switch off for rooms is a little strange. It kills all power even for tv. So no tv watching while falling asleep or watch tv with lights on. Breakfast was ok but staffing made it very clear at 10:09 when we enters the breakfast room that at 10:30 the buffet is closed. Precisely at 10:29 staff person started clearing breakfast. Bedding could be more premium and comfortable. Reminded me of ibis style. Not something you would expect in this location for 149€ a night in the middle of nowhere. More pillows, higher quality and please get different mattresses.”

“I got a warm welcome in this Hotel in the midst of beautiful harmonic enviroinment. The owner is an extremly nice person surrounded by a young and positive staff. Good food, well prepared and affordable. Perfect place (all the area) for families, hide out, bicycles. Overall friendly and helpful locals. They cover the lack of infrastructure and management for pleasure crafts. It is a pitty how this canal, the ESK, provides for us. There is no logic which could explain this sad miss. I am sure that many more yachts would make a stopover to watch the impressive lock with a drop of 90 feet/30m, enjoy the landscape. Just to make an example. The only little place allowed to moore, is not even straight but curved. Long walking distance to the Aldi supermarket and.... it's on the other side of the mooring. There is no information or signs. The 2 locks themselves on the ESK do not show that they are pleased to see us. I am writing now because forced to wait for the lock to call me. From 05:30 that im waiting... now it's 08:00 and that meaning, i will not be able to reach my todays destination and this canal already cost me 1 day delay to deliver the yacht. Between the 2 locks, the canal looks more like an abbandoned waterway. I suggest that town mayors along the ESK sit together with the local tourist branch to raise and discuss the situation and or maybe take a johrney to visit and understand the other waterways of similar size more sensible for white boats. I know the locals would appreciate such improvement. Thank you all for this strange stopover and surly see you again... Consider that through the ESK, you are connected ro the Baltic Sea and the Mediteranean.”

“I had a wonderful stay here whilst on a business trip. The staff were welcoming from the moment I entered. The check in was lovely and simple. My rooms was fantastic and great value for money. It was a spacious suite with a cosy bedroom area on the top floor, looking out onto their garden. The restaurant and bar were great, delicious food too. Breakfast was again good value, presented in a farmhouse kitchen type room. Thank you for a great stay! Wifi could be improved.”
