“Came here to celebrate a birthday on a Thursday evening. They were having an event where vendors were set up selling small goods along the outer area of the dining hall. We did about 6 tastings each of different wines and then ordered a few glasses. For food we ordered the pulled pork sandwich and chips and the beef sandwich with au jus. Pros: -Lots of seating indoor and outside. There’s a covered patio ceiling fans outside so this would be a great place to come in spring or summer to relax. -they have a pretty large parking lot -there’s a full bar so they have wine, spirits, and beer which is really helpful when some people want wine while others don’t! -they have a good sized menu with substantial food, not just cheese and crackers! -staff were super friendly and worked as a great team! Good advice on different wines as well Cons: -food was average, it took about 20 minutes to come out but it wasn’t hot when we got it which was disappointing. Definitely would’ve preferred fries over chips as well. -although it was great to see the different vendors and items they were selling the space was very cramped. With all the tables in the area and booths set up all around it you were unfortunately bumping into people and squeezing by them to get anywhere -I like the idea of ordering at the bar but it does pose a problem when it’s busy and there isn’t enough staff behind the bar you will wait a while so in the future if it’s busy we’d probably just settle for a glass of wine instead. -I wished there was a better selection of different wines. They had a lot of their local wines which were all different flavors (apple berry etc) but for people who don’t enjoy sweet wines tailor your expectations accordingly Overall I’d come back to see if the wine selection has changed and to take advantage of the patio when it’s warmer!”

The property is located on the "Red Route" so easy to avoid a lot of the congestion on 76. Property well maintained. The room coffee could be improved with a single serve k-cup machine. That way guests could bring their own coffee.”

“The wife and I went to a football game in Columbia and were wanting a night away from the kiddos. I found this hotel on google and thought it was just our style/speed. We absolutely loved our stay. I love the blend of historic/old aesthetic and newer amenities (bathroom renovations, etc.). We stayed in room #12. Room #12 would be a great room if we bring the kiddos back some day (as it has an the extra bed). Loved the lounge/bar on main floor, the restaurant, and the bar in the basement. We made us of all three during our stay. The night of our stay karaoke night was being hosted the the basement bar. It was a fun way to end the evening. Really loved our stay. I imagine we will be returning someday. My camera does not do the hotel justice (phone camera lens is cracked). If you are used to $500/night stays at a Ritzy hotel, this might not be the place for you. However, if you like things that are more unique and have character I recommend giving this hotel a try. Really loved the small town experience.”

“The room was reasonably clean. The staff on duty tried to deal with the situation as best they could. However, many factors made the stay the worst hotel experience I have had in the last 20 years. There was no keys that would work and the key problem had been going on for at least three days affecting many rooms. Another guest tried to contact the manager, but she/he never returned her communication. The room was the smallest room for a king size bed I have ever stayed in in the US. The room was next to the elevator shaft and very noisy all night. It is the only hotel room I have stayed in without a microwave oven. While my wife and I stayed in the room, there was only one hand towel. The cost of the room was much more than a much nicer and larger room we stayed in the next night. My stay greatly damaged my view of the reputation of the Hampton Inn and the Hilton hotel chain. It amazed me that no reduction in the cost of room was offered given the multiple problems described above. I hope you make the changes necessary for such events not to affect future visitors to your hotel.”

“Wonderful Hotel! The room was beautiful with a great view. It's right in the middle of downtown, so everything was very walkable. The bathroom was AMAZING! The three bars on site were great!! The lobby is beautiful. I snuck a look at the ballroom and it was also beautiful, on the smaller size... But great for a modest reception!”

“Nice place, have stayed here many times when in town over the past 15 years or so, The place is in need of some maintenance as you can see the wear and items in need of attention in the common areas and especially my room. At check-in, Diamond Members are always offered water a sweet and salty treat for their loyalty. This hotel or the lady that checked me in when she only offered two bottles of water, no longer offers any perks like that but went on to thank me for my loyalty and Diamond Member status, Sweet and Salty treat is such a small token of appreciation but apparently, this is cut at this hotel along with warm cookies. They do have dog cookie treats. This is a shame and I really do not feel as valued and loyal to this hotel as I used to, I may have to try Home2Suites and another Hilton property more in town if this place continues to nose-dive. “This is a really nice Hampton Inn. The room and bathroom were extremely clean. I liked the decor of the room. I didn’t like the harsh white lighting as I prefer warm lighting in a hotel room but I’m being picky I think on that. Breakfast had a decent selection of items. I would stay here again for business in Jeff City!”

“Such a beautiful place. Upkeep on the property is good except the pool is very murky and looks like it needs a shock or something and there’s a rotten smell that was there both times we swam. The other pool has been closed. We really expected the cabins to all have a lake view, but the ones we were in we couldn’t see it. Great family trip though, the office helped us with everything we needed. Nice staff. Beautiful cabin.”
