“Didn't stay here but came for breakfast Saturday morning. As a walk in, couldn't eat in the restaurant and had to eat in the bar, which was beautiful. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for me and my son. The food was excellent and several cups of coffee later we had to leave. It would be such a lovely place to go back one day if they weren't too busy, have breakfast and read a book over more coffee!!”

Once inside it was very quiet, the place is very tired looking. very old furniture and bar, staff not very friendly immediately asking what we wanted to eat. We had seafood chowder and toasted sandwiches. The chowder could have been good if fresh produce was used. instesd it was frozen. the toasted sandwiches were tasteless, and chips tasted bad. All of which was just under €30 .. Quite expensive.. for 2 soup toasted sandwich and chips”

“Good hotel in a nice convenient location. Nice rooms and very clean bathroom. Food is good and food service is good. However, the service at the reception is poor. Very impersonal and unhelpful…I do not mean rude. This stay was part of our Ring of Kerry. Bike tour. Arrived at 2 pm. We were told check in was at 4pm only…not even directed to wait in the lounge. We had to request if we could wait there! Waited until 3.30 and went back to ask and the room had already been ready and no one had cared to let us know! After biking for 4 hours, this wait was unnecessary. The owners may have to train the reception staff in customer relations.”

Oh, and disregard the very few mentions of the gruff man at the desk, he is lovely and helpful, not everyone was born to kiss your butt, he's gruff but not mean or dismissive, helpful when asked.”
