“I stayed here last night due to a snowstorm coming in. I work in Naperville but reside in Oak Lawn and didn’t want to deal with the morning commute. Upon walking inside, I was greeted by one gentleman and another, named Omar. I felt out of place at first because I’m usually a 3 star hotel gal but decided I needed to treat myself. Omar almost immediately was able to change that and made me feel very welcomed and more confident about my decision. When I walked into the room, it looked exactly like the pictures online. My first thing that had to be done was getting a nice bath and it has been a while since I felt that relaxed. I was going to order room service but was very limited on what I could get so I ordered food from a delivery company which wasn’t a hassle to have delivered to the desk. I liked how you could turn all the lights off with one button while exiting, or turn them on when coming inside the room. Literally my only complaint is the bed was too hard for me personally so I only got 3 hours of sleep. The pillows were so comfy, I liked the duvet, but the bed I just had an issue with and couldn’t get comfortable no matter what. If the beds were a little softer, I’d probably consider staying again when I decide to treat myself. But I definitely recommend staying here if that’s not an issue for you!”

“BOOK THIS FOR YOUR WEDDING WEEKEND! I promise you won't regret it :) The Publishing House best hidden gem in Chicago! We had our families stay here during our wedding weekend and it was the perfect oasis. The living area is spacious and cozy allowing us to chat over coffee or a late night drink. The rooms are impeccably decorated and large to fit all our siblings and parents. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the staff was so friendly. Our whole family agreed that the weekend would not have been the same without the Publishing House. Highly recommend booking the house for a special event!”

“We've been staying at this Ramada for the past 8ish years and it was nice before and now its BEAUTIFUL! They've done a lot of really great upgrades. The hot tub is always clean and working. They have fresh coffee available for free all day/night. They've added a small bar that serves drinks/food and the bartender, Chet, is fantastic!!!! Super fun to talk to and makes a wicked Wisconsin Old Fashioned. They've added a small room with some slot machines which makes it fun when you really don't feel like leaving the hotel. We will definitely keep staying as long as they don't jack up their prices too high....”

“This was a very comfortable place to stay, and pet friendly. the room was a good size, the bed was comfortable. The hotel was very conveniently off interstate 55, and there were plenty of dining options in the area. The hotel had nice grass area for walking your dog, with poop stations with poop bags. The breakfast was probably one of the most complete breakfast offerings at any hotel I've. Stayed at. The hotel employees were all very nice, friendly and efficient.”

“I am glad to book this hotel through a 3rd party. There weren't any issues with checking in knowing that I came a little early. I booked a room with a queen bed. It was just right. The bed is very comfortable and with enough pillows to make your sleep comfy. All the necessary toiletries were provided. I guess if you need anything, all you have to do is call the front desk. The hotel is very close to the Belmont red line station. There's a lot of restaurants nearby. My overall stay is great. I will definitely book this hotel again when I am in uptown/downtown Chicago.”

“Great hotel in the city! Most of the hotels in Chicago tend to be concentrated downtown, so it’s great to have one so close to West Town and Wicker Park. This opens up a whole new part of Chicago to tourists and out of town guests. The rooms, lobby, and bar are very nice and modern. Parking is available for an additional fee (typical for Chicago) and it is valet-only. However, you can have access to your car as often and anytime that you want. Public transit-wise, the closest train station is the Division Blue line — which is a bit of a hike but not too bad. The #9 and #72 buses also pass right by the hotel. All in all, this is a great spot to consider if you are visiting town and want to see more than the standard downtown tourist sites.”

“We were worried about staying here as we read a few negative reviews, however we were pleasantly surprised with our stay. We had a very nice greeting by the front desk staff member. They gave us free cookies and access to free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. They also had extra supplies they gave us like a tooth brush. The room we very clean and looked newly renovated. The room was very dark and we heard no noise from outside and had a wonderful sleep. Breakfast was like a normal hotel breakfast but we were served the food which was nice. All the staff were very kind and friendly! I recommend this hotel!”

However, the management fosters a higher level of standards, for ethics, customer service and humanity; that rivals some higher priced hotels, that I have stayed in. The rooms are tidy and welcoming. “People might say this hotel has a nice gym but I say this nice gym has a hotel! This hotel has the most impressive gym I've ever seen. When you stay at the hotel, you get to use the facilities. The gym is so nicely decorated. I noticed a lot of people would come to the gym, hang out, work on their laptop and then use the gym. There is even a golf simulator - two of them actually! The walls in the hotel room are a bit thin, as you can hear weights dropping and group classes, but the attentive staff provides earplugs to mitigate the noise. The room is spacious with a well-thought-out layout. Overall, a great experience for fitness enthusiasts.”
