“Incredible experience, this is for sure the highlight of my trip in Japan. You can ask at the Nikko station tourist center to call the hotel for a shuttle bus to give you a ride to the hotel (and I can't recommend you enough to do it, going from the bus stop to the hotel seems really intensive). We booked a room with a private onsen on the balcony, which had a view on nature and river with carps. Dinner and breakfast were also amazing, I'm at lost of word to describe the experience we had, and the staff was on par with this. If you have the budget to treat yourself for one night, this is the hotel you need to highly consider.”

“We went over golden week and it was amazing. We loved being able to use both onsens, our kiddos fished, play both lawn and table tennis. It is properly maintained and I enjoy the warm toilet area. You have to buy blue garbage bags for burnable and non burnable but outside of that dealing with trash was pretty simple.”

“A hotel I've always wanted to visit There was space available that day, so I made a reservation in the morning. This time I went with a first-time mother, an elementary school student, and 3 pre-school children. This is the perfect solution for this hotel! It was compact in size and had everything, so the kids could easily remember where it was and move around with peace of mind. There is a poster with activities listed at check-in, but there is no information so you have to look at it yourself. I'm so greedy that I want my kids to do all kinds of things...I'm always keeping busy with activities like going to the pool, roasting marshmallows, and chopping wood in the evening. My room was next to the laundry, so I was able to wash my swimsuit for free and detergent was provided, which was helpful! In the meantime, we recommend a massage chair! At night, I headed towards the newly opened Mori no Yu. This place is really the best⭐︎ The open-air bath is deep and standing style. The shower head was also from Leafa and it was really nice ^_^ The rice was also delicious. I wanted something more ingenious about the dessert. If there's something original I can make, like baking crepes. It would have been nice to have the morning waffles in the evening as well. Next time, I'll save up some money and come with my family. It was a summer vacation, so it was a pretty expensive trip for our family, but my kids want to go again. It felt like it was more family-friendly than relaxing and quiet.”

“Hotel needs to be refurbished. It's modelled as a English manor and the decor was nice but the hotel is seriously showing its age. I stayed in the European room and the condition of the room especially the curtain was worn out. Hotel staff was polite and nice.”

This place deserves to be full all year around, but was very quiet when we visited, we couldn’t understand why. You will not be disappointed if you stay.
