“The place is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. There are times in life where we find/seek peace and feel the need to clear our minds from all the worries we have in the world. This might be the place you are looking for. Try taking a walk around the place. There is also a wonderful garden for you to see. It’s my first time to visit the place and it is such a wonderful experience. I attended a holy mass and the weather was great and sunny. There is no parking fee but, it would be of great help if you donate to the monastery as the place needs to be well-maintained and tidy. Highly recommended place.”

“Stopped for a night on our way to Dover and what an amazing pub we found. Our room was really cosy, with everything you need. A nice hamper breakfast was provided as we couldn't make breakfast due to our early start. The actual pub/restaurant was really well decorated and had a lovely atmosphere but the food was the star of the show. One of the nicest curries I have ever had. Will definitely be returning on our future trips.”

“Great location , good service, unclean toilets. Well located, few minutes from centre of Canterbury and train station. Efficient check-in and millers room good size. Breakfast was also very good. However cleanliness of bathroom and plumbing were an issue. En suite was not properly clean, dusty corners, splashes of soap on walls , filthy toilet brush. Shower was a disaster, water streamed everywhere and really needs examination. In the morning it was clear public toilets had not been cleaned overnight and remained in the same state when we returned later in the afternoon. Could be really nice but need to sort cleaning and plumbing.”

“It’s an old motel don’t think it’s like a luxury Manor house but it’s located good close to Canterbury, have a good size garden with very good breakfast abut the rooms are old. If you compare with the price and service it’s fair enough. They’re asking to share your credit card details even if you booked and paid online which is weird and not safe. They have free parking space.”

“Had the most amazing stay at the Albion Rooms! Decor was beautiful and quirky, staff were extremely kind and helpful, they couldn’t do enough for us! Breakfast in the morning was spot on and cooked perfectly. The Waste Land bar is so cool and the happy hour drinks are SO cheap yet so good! Our room was absolutely beautiful, bathroom was slightly small but it won’t inconvenience you in any way. 15 minute walk away from Margate Town/all the main eateries etc and beautiful sea view, especially in the morning at breakfast. We’ll definitely be coming back!”

“Rooms look good but noise seems to travel through with ease ..we experienced a low humming sound all night in 514 worse when your head hit the pillow so from below ?, also a bright flash periodically coming from the smoke detector.. room was hot at night 18 degrees .. no option to open windows - with air-conditioning blooming freezing ! Staff were very friendly and helpful Breakfast was amazing Would we stay again .. probably not and that's a shame because it is a lovely Hotel but I have to judge as I found it .”

“I only stayed 1 night. The room was OK, a little cold, the bed was clean and comfortable. Couldn't get much hot water from the shower. The gentleman that checked me in was exceptionally helpful and very welcoming. Lots of free parking. I didn't have any food but what was being cooked certainly smelt nice.”

I'm afraid the beds and pillows did not suit me and I was not comfortable. The stairs carpet needs a good, clean and regular vacuuming. And what a pity. The brass on the front door is so finger marked and not bright and shiny. The food in the chef and brewer leaves a lot to be desired.”

“Lovely & clean. Comfortable room facing the sea. Staff friendly & helpful. Despite other reviews, my friend & I who are cleanliness experts, pulled our room apart & could not find fault. Only minor issues were stair carpets could do with a clean. However, as that bears the brunt of visitor traffic, we suggest replacing for a more suitable hotel pattern pile, which would hide this.We will be staying here again 😃😃”
