“Hotel Villa Borghi is a 4*hotel with little or none 4* commodities. In my opinion the quality standard doesn't even meet the 3* standard... I would put between 2* and 3*... so: 2.5* considering the look of the historical building. And that's it. Too expensive for the quality and commodities they offer. They advertise and sell the hotel using pictures of top standard and quality rooms and then you arrive at the hotel and you get something different, not according to a 4* standard and not even similar to what you booked taking into consideration the pictures and description of the hotel. It's a big disappointment. I don't recommend Hotel Villa Borghi to anyone. Just take a look at the pictures I post here of the deluxe double room 🤔: minibar empty, broken furniture, small and old closet, lamps full of dust and not clean, shower not properly cleaned and maintained, bed with only two pillows and of very basic quality, cheap plastic cups and paper cups. So, basically: a fraud.”

“We enjoyed a great 7 night stay at Hotel de Charme Laveno. The hotel is stylish, scrupulously clean and very well located for guests to easily enjoy all that Lake Maggiore has to offer. Particular highlights for us were the food and the staff - who were delightful. To find a hotel staffed by people from across the age range who clearly enjoy what they do and who genuinely care about guest comfort is all too rare. Can’t recommend highly enough.”

“A futuristic building from the heyday of motor travel. One expects to see elegant 50s Fiats in each of the car ports, but instead only weary travellers who like me ended up in wherever Wizzair put them after cancelling the last flight from Malpensa. The reception was helpful, the rooms good, the taxi to the airport is 30-40 euros. It lives up to it's name, and smells pleasantly of the pine trees scattered around.”
