“We booked one of the suites for our wedding/honeymoon between Christmas and new year. My husband couldn’t believe that it’s only a 4-star hotel. The room was incredible - so comfortable and well stocked. The staff were really friendly and helpful, bringing up milk and orange juice and extra chairs for the morning of our wedding while we got ready. They were fine with us taking wedding photos in the lobby and grounds too. We arrived back to a bottle of champagne and a lovely note that evening. The breakfasts were amazing too in the on-site bistro. Neither of us really wanted to leave and wished we could have had a bit longer there. Absolutely 5-star service and place. Thank you for an incredible stay - we felt very well looked after.”

“A lovely hotel for our stay in Edinburgh. Bruntsfield was a little bit of a walk from the main hubbub and touristy areas, but we liked that this enabled us to find some really lovely cafe/ restaurant gems out of the centre of town. Plus it was easy enough to walk through the park or down the road to get to various areas in Edinburgh. The hotel itself was nice, the room was a good size (Executive) and came with everything you need. We slept well on the whole, the walls are a little thin so we were woken up by other guests on occasion. This was only really a problem on the first night where there was a function on downstairs, and the noise of the guests leaving at midnight was quite loud! Only other negative to note was that the shower was very weak. I had to hold it quite close to my head to wash out the shampoo which after four nights was getting a little old. We enjoyed the coffee machine that came with the room, and the tunnock tea cakes in the reception area! We would recommend this hotel for others planning to visit Edinburgh in the future! The”

“The location is what makes this hotel. Excellent location and walking options. The rooms are needing some repairs in places. The walls and window frames have quite a bit of paint peaking off due to moisture and the overall presentation is now looking a little tired. Shower door didn’t close properly. Lobby and entry was lovely. Cleaning staff were rude unfortunately. Overall a very convenient location and the room just needs some updates.”

“Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and couldn't find any fault with the hotel. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much for them. Got to give Kerry a special mention as she went over and above to help us out. Breakfast was good and didn't take long once ordered. Not much in the locality but there is a regular bus service very close by to take you into the city in about 20 minutes. I would definitely stay there again without hesitation. Once again big thanks to Kerry and Staff.”

“Old English vibe to the Decoration of the rooms which is exactly what I was going for, for my trip to Edinburgh. The reception is open from 8am to 8pm which are handy times for when you need them. On-call Cleaning is available from 8am to 12pm which gives you more than enough time in the morning to ring the receptionist and let them know you might want the room cleaning or to just empty your bins. Perfect place to relax and have a nice time in Edinburgh, I myself stayed for a week and every day I was just in awe at how wonderful the rooms were and have great the service was too, highly recommended.”

“Comfy bed and pillows. Great location. Great size bathroom and shower with plenty of hot water. Street side rooms will get a lot of noise from the street and top floor rooms will get added noise from wind and rain. We were in a top floor room. There is no elevator so you will have to carry your bags up fights of stairs. Easy walking distance to main attractions and plenty of great food options near by.”
