“Can’t say enough good things about the level of service at the Udaya. The grounds are also beautiful, pool is gorgeous, and the rooms are nice, but of course in Bali there are many lovely accommodations, so it’s the kindness of the staff that really makes this hotel stand out. There are around 30 rooms in the main hotel, so it has a very intimate feeling and the staff take great care of each guest. We stayed for 5 days. Our checkout and departure was at 6:30am on our last day, so the staff took our breakfast order the day before and had our prepared our food as takeaway before the restaurant was even technically open so we could take it with us to the airport. Will try a villa next time!”

“The staff was very friendly and helpful, so I hate having to write a negative review and advising you to stay elsewhere. Lavish property, mostly well designed, yet crippled by terrible choices. Loud live music plays in the lobby restaurant to midnight - you can forget about sleeping or even relaxing in your room. Even when the hotel stops playing music, the bars next door keep loud music going until 1 or 2am. There is simply no quiet at this hotel. Forget about sleeping in, because the rooms don’t have proper blackout blinds. The breakfast buffet is extremely basic (cereal, bread, fruit), with a good accompanying menu of hot items - but they only let you get one single item off that menu. It’s a very expensive hotel; they shouldn’t be counting my breakfast bagels or scoops of rice! The wifi is slow and cuts in and out, and the air conditioning struggles to keep up with Bali’s weather. It can’t maintain comfortable temperatures until late evening. You can control it - to a point - but the system is temperature-limited so you can’t just leave it running; it will turn itself off once it decides the room is cold enough, and you can’t force it to go any colder, you just have to wait until the system decides it’s warm enough in the room to come back on. At full power the room never became a comfortable temperature; I had to go into the grocery store and pharmacy to feel comfortable. So even though the staff was fantastic, I just can’t recommend the hotel because it was an expensive, large beautiful room with non stop light, noise and heat.”

“Everything is great. Staffs are helpful and friendly. It’s so nice of them arranged a small cake for my son’s birthday. Location is away from the town center about 20mins driving distance, not the most convenient, but not too bad to trade off for waking up to a nice quiet greenery view. Rooms and open pool are nice, enjoyed the spa experience. Food are delicious, highly recommend the Tom Yum soup. The only issue were frogs and big spiders came into our room, probably something to improve with the sliding door. The rest are great and would recommend to my friends.”

“Myself and my wife enjoyed our 2 week stay here while visiting Ubud. We had a downstairs suite room which was reasonably priced, spacious and clean and the bathroom included a bathtub and shower. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was cleaned each day. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet and about a 10 minute scooter ride to central Ubud. We opted not to pay for the breakfast menu due to a vegetarian diet, however there's lots of vegan/vegetarian eateries within a 10-20 minute scooter drive away. It's a great base to stay while exploring the beautiful Ubud surrounds and a nice sanctuary to return to each day. Would definitely stay here again.”

“My 4-day stay was splendid. I specifically requested a cooler room with good A/C and they delivered. The room was very clean and comfortable and the shower and bath tub were clean and modern. They provide 6 bottles of water per day which comes in handy and they do housekeeping twice per day. They provide a shuttle that can take to into town and also pick you up, it was so easy to schedule and they were pretty quick in their availability. The hotel food options were actually pretty good, lots of sushi then eggs, bacon, sausage western type breakfast options. The staff were very kind and attentive. The public pool area was shaded and a nice break from direct sunlight. Overall I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend!”

“Our family of 5 enjoyed a wonderful 4 nights at KajaNe Mua in Ubud in October 2023. The staff were friendly and attentive, the complimentary afternoon tea (with iced coffee or other drinks of choice) delivered to our room daily was delicious. The private infinity pool was a welcome reprieve from the Ubud heat and our rooms were very luxurious. A highlight for us was when several staff surprised us all by turning up with a birthday cake and candles for our youngest son's birthday. The breakfast buffet was fresh and had lots of choice and we enjoyed a number of refreshing drinks and meals in the restaurant. We would definitely recommend this resort and hope to go back ourselves one day.”

We had a view from the second floor over a lovely rice field. Very convenient location. There is a pool, next to the restaurant for breakfast quite suitable. Also when we got back to the room, there were rose petals and letters spelling ‘HBD’ laid out on the bed. The staff is so fixed on customer happiness and extremely helpful with special requests.
