“Absolutely loved our stay here, staff were lovely wine was delicious and breakfast also great for hikers. I'm vegan and they had rice milk and made me a fantastic cappuccino! View of the sunrise from our room was amazing. Only issues was that they ran out of got water so the shower was luke warm but I still had a fantastic experience.”

“We stayed 2 nights in one of the annex rooms which had direct access to the lawns, perfect for our dog. All of the staff were brilliant: cheery, helpful and generous. The breakfast buffet had everything we wanted, the views were great and the atmosphere was very relaxing. There is a regular bus service into Belluno, but we never used it as it's only a 30 minute walk. The finish wasn't perfect but the hotel had character and history. For the price, we happily give Villa Carpenada 5 stars!”

“We stayed here for three days, the room was very clean, the breakfast was delicious, the owner and her family were very friendly and helped us a lot. On the third day we went to the sauna for the first time and we felt refreshed which was a great experience. In the evening we went to the restaurant for dinner, 20 euros was really worth it, we were all very full, the food was delicious and the desserts were yummy. It was Sunday when we left, we didn't understand the local transport, finally we asked the owner and learned that there was no public transport on Sunday. We wanted to take a taxi but the owner insisted on taking us to the train station which is 17km away, we were really touched and it really helped us out. Anyway, thanks for all and we will be back soon.”

“My husband, kids and I stayed at this rifugio during our Alta Via 1 hike. As soon as we got there, we had a delicious lunch (the best canederli in broth we had on the Veneto side of the trail) sitting at one of the outdoor tables and enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains and garden. While some reviews noted the food as not being good (Italians don’t know how to do breakfast so perhaps they were referring to that?) my Italian husband and I thought it was the best food out of all the rifugios we stayed at on the Veneto side. The chef’s background is in pastries so don’t skip on dessert! A few things to note: while they provide sheets and blanket, you will need to have your own towel or purchase one at the rifugio, you must pay to take a shower, and limited outlets to plug your electronics.”

“My stay in this rifugio was fabulous :) the biggest pluses about staying here were the great community atmosphere, the location and views, and the food! I stayed in the attic rooms, which I was a little surprised about and hesitant of, but the beds turned out to be very comfortable and plenty warm! The sound of rain on the roof was very soothing and it seemed like everyone I talked to slept very well, including myself! Food was the best food I've had at a rifugio for both lunch and dinner. The strudel was super yummy. I particularly liked that they gave us assigned seats during dinner, trying to help everyone make friends! Felt like a really great community. Would recommend! Just don't stay in the attic if you're claustrophobic, but I enjoyed it!”

“Stayed in January 2020 for skiing. The hotel matches its rating. Decent furnishing, sufficient equipment. Rooms are cleaned daily very thoroughly. Food in the restaurant is tasty and nourishing. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The shuttle service to the Molino cable car is very useful. On the downsides: * WiFi seldom connects, usually with disappointing rate. * With full restaurant, the waiters do not catch up with serving food so a dinner can last 1.5 hours. * The ski room could be upgraded with ski boot driers.”
