“Oh my .. nor the best place to stay.the staff are lovely but the actual place is in an awful location. Like an industrial estate.We witnessed a drug drop happen right outside the restaurant . The pool table is broke , has been for a while, the hot drinks are over priced and not even a full cup. The drinks at the bar are way overpriced too. Plus the tills kept freezing. Food was OK, but just that. The room was on the ground floor and the window would not shut properly so the receptionist came out twice bless her. Very patient with us and a lovely lady. The bathroom light was just a mere flicker so maintenance were called out the next day. Plus I woke up after a rough night's sleep with tiny bites all over me. Pillows are cheap and flat. It's OK for one night but that's about it. I'd definitely not go back. Plus half the hotel were full of refugees... wasn't a nice experience 😕”

“(AVOID AT ALL COST - BED BUGS!!) I'm not sure where to begin. I had 3 rooms reserved for a short trip with friends, and all of them had faulty heating. I checked into this hotel, however it took a while because there wasn't enough staff. As soon as I entered the room, the carpets stank and the ceiling was stained and damp.The next day I woke up and I had MARKS on MY BODY I didn’t take notice until MY BODY STARTED ITCHING I rang 111 and they said I should go to Pharmacy then the pharmacist told me I had BED BUGS!!! I had to buy my own bed bug Cream and Tablets after letting the staff know no action was taken apart from moving us to a room which was full of damp the ceiling was completely stained. I insisted I speak to management they told me that they are not working today as it’s the weekend. After moving bedroom I woke up to a bug on my arm and my partner crushed it so there was red stain on bed so… PLEASE IM BEGGING ANYONE READING THIS DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS U WANT BED BUGS AND DIRTY LIVING SPACE!!!”

“Clean and tidy room, service excellent and near to shops and local amenities. The only let down was Saracen's head pub which is adjoining doesn't serve breakfast until 9am. There are plenty of other places to go, i.e Sainsbury's, Tesco or McDonald's.”

“This was booked for me by work, and had its pros and cons. Despite the last check in being 10pm the barman (yes reception is a bar) stayed so I could arrive at 11pm after I’d called and explained my late arrival. The accommodation is very basic. My room was clean apart from staining in the carpet, the bathroom was clean except some limescale on the shower-head, did have excellent water pressure and was hot. The sheets are clean, towels clean. But very old mattress, pillows and duvet, with no protectors. No tea coffee facilities, no wifi. I did actually sleep reasonably well and didn’t have any issues with the railway noise or road noise that others had commented on. They have a basic food menu that is reasonably priced - and was cooked well. Location was ideal for me, and would be perfect for Aston Villa matches. Close to the motorway. Really friendly staff.”

“I have stayed here a couple of times and find the place convenient, cheerful and close to everything I need. Rooms are modern enough, with decent smart TVs. Bathrooms are a little outdated, but clean and perfectly usable. Place could do with contactless key entry, as it's a pain having to use actual keys to get through the building front door when arriving. Breakfast is decent and it's handy having the pub/restaurant just outside the hotel. Noise isn't too bad from there either. By 10pm I was able to settle down to sleep quite easily! Will be booking here more often.”
