Location is great, the only thing is that taxis cannot drop the passengers at the hotel entrance because there are tram lines in the hotel’s street and no car is allowed. “After an early morning flight we got to the hotel at around 8am in the morning and the front desk went above and beyond to get us an early check in. Which was great as we fell asleep as soon as we got into our room. Every member of the front desk, day or night were outstanding, professional and friendly. The room was a decent size with comfortable beds and pillows however two minor things. The bathroom was a bit on the small side and we wished we could have lowered the aircon to less than 18 degrees. The breakfast was hot and filling with a good selection of continental food. However I feel the hot food could be more varied though they did make us eggs the way we wanted them. The staff in the breakfast room were friendly and amazing at their jobs. Gunes, Azimi, Utku and Nazl were the highlights. Gunes and Nazl especially were super friendly and helpful and helped us with shopping ideas. Let’s not forget the amazing geniuses in the kitchen who prepared all the food every morning. Gunes I hope you realise your dream one day of managing a hotel!! The boys also loved the swimming pool and my wife rated the spa service highly. The hotel is located in a vibrant area that’s always lively. All the major attraction are easily reachable by public transport which are nearby. All in all it was a great hotel made even more great by the amazing staff that work there.”

“Rooms were old repainted. It had a flair of old. Service? There was supposed to be to be bottled water in the rooms. We stayed for 12 days and had to ask every afternoon for water. Once we spoke to our regular chamber maid, the service was done in impeccable. Meaning fresh towels and sheets, replenished coffee/tea packets and floors were mopped, sink clean and room was tidy. We love her so much we gave her a tip at the end. The location was the best as the rail metro line was close by and easy to access. Make sure you purchase a Metro card and top it off. 100 turkish lira TL for card with 30 TL on the card. It is 15 TL per ride or swipe. If you walk everywhere you’ll hit 22 thousand steps per day on the average so bring good comfortable shoes! Fresh pomegranate juice should cost no more than 100TL but there are many vendors that will sell at 150TL. There is a huge park just to the south of the Orient hotel. Great place to sit have lunch or dinner and watch everyone walk by.”

“Okay, this is a hostel, keep that in mind. We were able to park our rental car. The breakfast was amazing! The staff was pleasant, professional, and accommodating. Now, the best part about this hostel is that it is, literally, walking distance from the major attractions. When you leave the hostel, on your right down the street to your left is a little store, go there for your snacks and drinks. The restaurants were expensive, really expensive. Look at the prices and the menu first and do the conversions, because we paid way too much for the food there and at the airport, ridiculous prices. I’m too embarrassed to say how much, but lesson learned. Should have asked the hostel staff about where to eat, but we were too excited to just start walking.”
