“Beautiful place, rooms a little bit small however for the price that you pay they are definitely a bargain. Breakfast was lovely. And the staff were really helpful. It was a very clean place, and I would definitely recommend. We came in during rain, without booking in advance and we were in the room within a couple of minutes. The motorbikes we came in on were left outside in the carpark, and could be seen out of the room window, which was nice.”

“Very nice and new-ish hotel which is well located as a base to explore the Dolomites, although there is not much to do in town. It’s family friendly with 2 stunning pools and great wellness facilities. Most of the staff is kind, breakfast is stellar and food/diner is ok without being spectacular. Plenty of space in the garage although access is very very steep. They could use an additional lift in the building.”

“My first impression of Maranza Village was that it was so peaceful and sparkling. A week at 'Hotel Sonnenberg' was a very happy time. The whole day was filled with great views, a fantastic pool, and delicious food. “The hotel was full, so they’ve offered us a room in a near house. The room was extremely basic, old forniture, lack of lights, terrible shower, no soap and when we asked for we received a super small one and was impossible to get more. Nasty staff and management. we left after the first night and we will never go back again. After reading the reply from the Hotel, it’s necessary to stress: 1. It’s true that we have been told that the room wasn’t in the hotel, but we checked in in the hotel and paid the Waldhof hotel, reason why it’s more than reasonable to think that the Hotel should be responsible for the treatment. 2. After requesting an upgraded room, the management very unpolitely answered that we couldn’t ask for much for a such a small money, and rudely asked why we were not satisfied with a room that had bed and a tv, questionning if we were able to pay for an upgraded room (that was then available at the main hotel). 3. finally, she told as to leave if we weren’t satisfied, and at that point we didn’t stay one second longer. “Basically a great place to stay. Passes as an insider tip. Accessibility is a bit difficult because of the long uphill drive from the Brenner motorway. However, less than 10 minutes from the motorway. You will be rewarded with a cool night and a wonderful breakfast. The rooms are getting old, but they are clean and the price is right. The cool night at approx. 1,100 m is incomparable to the summer heat in Bolzano. The host family is very nice, even late in the evening (when we arrived) we were served politely and even got something to eat. It's an insider tip, we will come back when we explore South Tyrol. Even when we asked at short notice for one night on the day of arrival, we received a great welcome. The landlord was also very helpful in other ways, so a full recommendation!”

Apart from the fact that the hotel is absolutely beautiful and you can see that someone gave thought to every single small detail, the service is amazing! very personal and caring. “Very nice hotel! It's quite a large area, comprising a few hotel buildings, a swimmingpool, parking areas and a vineyard. The pool is very nice, clean, quiet and enough sunbeds. Staff is also very nice, very helpful! The room was a bit basic, large but for example a minibar or coffie/thee making set would have been nice. Breakfast was marvellous! Fresh products and plenty of choice. I also really liked the location of the hotel. Located close to the highway and a supermarket is located 30 meters away.”
