“Great view, good location and clean comfy room. But… it can get very noisy during weekends Saturday and Sunday with loud parties going on till 3am nearby or rather the entire old town of Siena and cathedral bells rolling every 30mins the whole of Sunday. Hotel is within minutes of walking distance to the old town, Conad supermarket and bus stops. The room is not big rather small but comfortable, go for the room with city view and balcony it’s worth every penny. The breakfast is very good European standard. The shower temperature can get extremely cold and hot if you turn it to full power, turning it half way get a consistent water temperature. There’s a lovely big living room but only for reading. It’s a total waste because if you want a quiet room might as well stay in your own room. Staff are not friendly and not rude either, they just can’t be bothered if you don’t speak Italian. Overall a good enjoyable 2 nights stay.”

“Borgo Stomennano is an absolute dream. The grounds are beautifully kept, and there is so much charm and character in every corner. “Great clean hotel just outside of the historic town of Siena walls. Convenient bus pick up directly outside of hotel. Only issue is the bus stops running at 830 and taxis are few and far between. We walked for roughly 20 minutes and didn’t mind. We didn’t get a chance for the pool but it looked refreshing. Great friendly host with lots of recommendations and helpful tips.”

“Good hotel to stay at while in Siena, as it is just outside the walls and is just across from the escalator that leads all the way up to Siena' majestic historical centre. The escalator just across the street is truly a thing of extreme convenience and makes it all very enjoyable. The staff is very kind and helpful and on-site parking for €7 a day is a great feature. The rooms are nice and comfortable with a fridge that you plug in if you need it and all is very clean. Bathrooms are large and very clean with large built-in showers. The showers, however, do tend to flood the bathroom and staff is aware of this. They do not have any of those cloth shower mats in the rooms, so you may want to ask for a couple more towels. Breakfast was good and rich in offer, although they do not offer a proper bar service, but coffees and cappuccino are served by an automatic machine, of which there is only one and there is usually a line, so I think the Manager should address that. Price could be a little less for a 3-Star venue in my opinion, but Siena seems to be more expensive than other places around Tuscany.”

“Good - Staff are lovely. Bad - Rooms are small and very dated. Aircon is noisy and there is very little noise isolation from the hallway. The hotel is basically in the middle of nowhere so cabs can be hard to get. Really you need a car. Breakfast is basic - a couple of pastries and some cold meat.”

“Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 1 night at first I realized that there was a smell of mold in the room but I didn't pay much attention since we were staying for 1 night ( there are reports from others that there is a smell and cleanliness issue). The biggest problem though came later my friend the next morning was covered in red marks on her body and that was from bedbugs!!! At first we thought it was an allergy but when she went to the doctor he told her it was from bedbugs!!! I asked for a refund the hotel told me that the red marks on the body could be anything!!! Then she tried to apologize by sending me a hotel disinfection report from 1 year ago however they said there was nothing could do!!! I would expect at least a refund or a part of the money as 1 week later I have spent enough money on pharmaceuticals and also have to live in fear that the bugs are not in my house or pets!!! I did not intend to make a review and discredit the hotel but in this case they did nothing to help me I recommend you avoid this hotel”
