“My girlfriend and I both work at an MGallery hotel ourselves and we got a voucher for two nights for this hotel as a gift from work. We paid for an extra night ourselves as we wanted to have two full days to spend at the hotel and relax. The staff is super nice, attending to every request quickly and efficiently, even when we asked for a specific tea at 11:30 pm (it was the peach tea, it was so good)! The spa was a dream, we had the pool area and basically the whole spa to ourselves most of the time as we visited in November and the other guests seemed to mostly be busy on the golf course, which left us to enjoy the spa area all by ourselves which was amazing. The pool could have been a bit warmer, we were sometimes freezing a bit in the pool but you get used to it after some time. We also had a 50-minute couple full body massage booked, the two ladies that massaged us were so kind and went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible. We ordered room service on our first night and had a reservation at the restaurant on the second night, the food was good and the restaurant staff was also very nice. Surprisingly the room service menu has a bit more to choose from than the room service menu, which we did not know on our first night, but that was honestly our fault, we could have informed ourselves better. It would have been nice however if all the room service dishes had also been available at the restaurant. For two nights it was more than okay, on our third night we went to Bordeaux to see a bit of the city and have dinner there, as you are unfortunately bound to the food the hotel offers since there are no restaurants close by and delivery services do not deliver that far out of Bordeaux. So location-wise, it is a bit tricky if you want to eat something other than the hotel food, but the location is also understandable considering they need space for the golf courses. Breakfast was nice, the selection could be bigger here as well but what is available is good, I personally really enjoyed the chocolate-filled doughnuts they had on our last morning! Housekeeping was great, our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, we also enjoyed our little terrace area even though we were unfortunate with the weather and due to a lot of rain during our stay weren´t able to use it a lot. Great amenities, coffee machine and kettle are available in the room with a selection of tea as well as caffeinated and decaffeinated coffee, and some small biscuits. Water dispensers are readily available in the hallway, where you can fill up the glass bottles that are available in your room, and you can choose between normal flat water, ice cold flat water, mildly sparkling water, or sparkling water. All in all a very nice stay to relax for a few days and get out of the busy city that we are used to.”

“bad experience. The room had a bunk bed and the top one was not made when we arrived. The receptionist told us that we had to put it together ourselves. The room had a lot of dust and allergens that made me cough. When I wanted to order a tea at night they told me that they only had the vending machines, which only accept cash. The location is ok, about 15 minutes from the center on foot. Only gluten free breakfast by ordering it 2 days before, if not no options.”

“The location of the hotel is a little out of the way but the rest is very good. Staff very attentive and professional. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Very clean. Nice that minibar was free although we didn’t use it. Bordeaux is a great alternative to Paris. Lots of shopping and grand churches without the overcrowding. Felt safe too. Parks are very peaceful to walk through.”

“This hotel just about does the job for an overnight or short stay in Bordeaux. Being next to the station, I found it to be quite well placed, as we were able to grab a tram in close proximity and get to where we needed to go from there. Beyond that, it was nothing more than alright. The room was okay, not unclean, but very small and with few facilities. The woman we checked in with was cold and quite unpleasant, but I found the breakfast staff to be really lovely! The breakfast itself was also very tasty, with lots of different options - a really nice surprise. Overall, this hotel is okay, but I wouldn’t recommend it for longer trips, as the room isn’t all that great and it can also get a bit noisy.”

In the hostel room, sleep cabins are very nice and comfortable, with a clean bathroom and separate toilet, air conditioning, and nice views. Overall, the facilities are great: a kitchen, a workroom, a restaurant, and a rooftop bar with live music on Thursday and Friday. The place is close to the central train station, and trams (7 min walk) can bring you to the city centre (10 min). The area is a very interesting redevelopment, with new buildings around.
