“The moment I Liverpool had won the Carabao cup fixture against West Ham I immediately looked at a place to stay for the Fulham match. Stumbled upon The Flat Iron, looked decent and cheap so I booked it. I came up for game day, walked through the door and the place was buzzing. Great atmosphere, Guinness's flowing and friendly staff. Got escorted to my room and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was a decent size, decent bed, lovely bathroom had a nice town house feel to it with the high ceilings too. Chilled in the room for a while before the game. After a simply lovely comeback against Fulham I walked back and again the pub was buzzing. Got a celebration pint where maybe I shouldn't be all that surprised coming from an Irish pub but it was a great pour of Guinness. Proceeded to chat to the staff and had myself a lovely time. After a couple I went back up to my room to get my head down for the night where I could still hear the buzz of the pub. I initially didn't think the bed was that comfy but the 9 o'clock wake tells me other wise. Slept like a baby. I do however have a couple of points to mention. The room I was in the temperature knob on the shower was very very stiff. I had to summon my inner hulk to get it to a reasonable temperature which was a tad annoying. Parking also was a problem. Now thankfully I know a couple of free spots around the ground so it wasn't a huge issue but I think it is something to bring up. It does say on Expedia who I booked it through that there is parking available off site, I couldn't find any such parking. This is more of a suggestion than a complaint but maybe when the room is book a map or postcode could be included so there is no confusion. Overall though, my stay was very pleasant and when I'm up for another game I'll be returning for sure! Would definitely recommend!”

The location was good - it appears to be on the periphery of the city centre, consequently it was neither too loud nor too far from local amenities. The rooms were comfortable, well-equipped and exceptionally clean. The bathrooms were spacious and clean also. The staff were second to none; they couldn't do enough to help.”

“We had our wedding ceremony, afternoon and evening events at the hotel. All of the staff were amazing from when we first booked the venue right up until the very end. Nothing was too much trouble and they did everything to ensure our day went smoothly. Some of the rooms require updating but the bridal suite is fabulous. We had the most amazing day ; one that we will never forget. I would highly recommend this hotel.”

“Stayed here for 3 nights in Liverpool. I was visiting from San Francisco to watch the game at anfield. Pros: Cheap room rates per night, mine was about 15$ Virtual check-in and very secure with different lock codes at every room About 3 mins walk to the stadium Cons: The bunk beds are extremely uncomfortable especially their cheap bedding and pillow quality. I don't expect anything fancy for the price but it doesn't even cut the basic needs for a good night sleep. There was only one bathroom shared between multiple dorms upstairs. Had to wait every time I wanted to use it. There are no fans in the rooms, so expect it to get very sultry and hot during the summers. This is not a busy part of town expect on matchdays, for everything you'll need to take an uber or a bus to the happening areas.”

“The 8-bed dorm room is spacious and has one shower/toilet. The down point is there is no power socket or lamp at your bunk bed. Has a large and functional shared kitchen with hobs and two medium-sized refrigerators. With four big wooden tables that you can eat/work. Lots of power sockets. Has one vending machine at the reception, selling snacks and drinks at a fair price. I have a good wifi connection here (in my dorm room and in the kitchen), but can't say for other rooms. Good location surrounded by bars, eateries, and student accommodations.”

“Stayed here to attend a party in the local area. The grounds are pretty and there is plenty of seating outside to enjoy a drink on a sunny day. The rooms were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated but could definitely do with some work. The tap in the bathroom leaked onto the floor when used and some of the furniture was visibly worn. Service was great until we ordered some food and didn’t receive it for over 1 hour. We then received half the food and the rest didn’t arrive after another half an hour. After inquiring, it turns out they had only noted down x1 of everything we had ordered instead of x3, so we then had to wait another 20 minutes for them to prepare the rest of the food. Such a shame and was very frustrating. I think they weee training some new staff this day as a young girl told us it was her first day, this could have been part of the issue. The food was nice when we actually received it however ☺️ You will have to pay a £50 deposit per room, this stayed on my pending transactions for a few days but was never taken out and was refunded.”
