“Lisa & Joyce were very welcoming when we checked in. Cabin #16 we stayed in made us feel right at home! It even had a fireplace which we loved having. Living space was roomy and the bedroom was very comfy! You don't need to driving because all the shops, restaurants, etc are waking distance. Truly an awesome place to stay! We will be back!”

“The staff was nice but the owner was not professional and would not communicate. This was our first trip to Idyllwild and we brought our family to stay at Rachel's Cottage. The house was perfect for our stay with large rooms, a beautiful kitchen and three separate bathrooms. On the negative side, the bathroom shower near the laundry room was unusable. We reported to the staff that the shower drain was backing up onto the floor. The staff was supposed to send someone over to fix it and no one ever came The counter microwave did not function properly. The oven in the stove didn't work. The front panel to turn it on and set the temperature was unresponsive. For the rates we were charged, we didn't expect to have these issues, but we dealt with them because we loved the area. The final insult, was that we were charged an extra $60 in our bill. We were told by the staff that we broke the coffee maker. WE DIDN'T EVEN USE THE COFFEE MAKER! I brought a large box of Keurig pods (that's all I use at home) and all we used was the Keurig machine. We explained this to the staff to which they replied that the owner would call us. THEY NEVER CALLED and we received a $60 charge on our credit card. This is unethical and unprofessional behavior. Beware when renting from Silver Pines!”

“I found my new spot for when I visit Idyllwild in the future! I stayed in the Redwood room. The inn is across the street from a lovely community garden. It is super close to town - only a 2-5 minute walk to everything. The bed was super comfortable. Great TV and a nice collection of books in the room. There are also rustic outdoor seating areas. At night I heard an occasional car drive by on the mountain road - so nice and peaceful.”

“Be careful, everyone!!! I recently stayed at this hotel over the new year. I checked in on the 29th and left on the 1st of 2024. I had left behind some very important cards in one of the drawers. I realized this, unfortunately, on our way home and called immediately. They said there was nothing found in the drawers. So I assumed it was in my luggage; maybe one of my friends moved it. I get home, and it turns out there nowhere to be found. I confirmed with my friends that no one touched or moved it; they said they saw them in the dressers. So I called the following day, and I was told that there is still nothing in the lost and found and that their policy is that if they find something, they should return it; unfortunately, they did not follow through. I was told to call in the morning when a manager is in to find out who cleaned my room. So I did, and they still stated that there was nothing found and that the head of housekeeping personally cleaned that room. So unfortunately, I lost my important cards at this hotel, and the head of housekeeping doesn’t follow the return policy because I know for a fact they were left in the drawer. So please, everyone, make sure you retrieve everything when you stay at this hotel because they will not follow the policy and keep your belongings!!”
