“We came here to see the wreck and artifacts of the Bertrand, which sank in 1865. The air conditioned museum (free entry) is a great respite from the hot, humid Nebraska heat. The displays and info are interesting, quite the time capsule of daily, common items used 160 years ago. Being a wildlife refuge as well, there is a nice viewing window over the river where one can see turtles on tree stumps, birds of prey and displays of other furtive, people-avoiding animals. Lots of morel mushrooms grow here in spring. The site of the wreck itself is kinda boring, as it's just a dirty brown water pond with nothing to see but informational signs, which are interesting. But man, it sure is hot out there at high noon!”

“I love this place but the only reason I give a 3 star is due to me very scares of water. But we had so much fun hanging out on there birthday weekend. It's cheap peaceful and if u get the right spot you see the sky so amazing at night. Everyone has been friendly around the camp site.”

“This place is ridiculous for kids under 48 inches. The girl monitoring the kids making sure everyone in the rightfully areas has been overly excessive with my children 5-6 yrs old! I will not be back, at least til they are taller than 48 inches. From her telling my kids to stay off the walls, and to switch out our socks and the little extra explaining she felt she had to do but not to a single other parent! I feel like she was picking on my children because they were mixed! What a waste of my money, my kids were asking to leave not even 20 minutes in!”

“This is a little tough to give a rating and I might have gone with a 3.5 if it was an option. The park itself is okay. Nice trail to the tower, which was neat. The lake just so, so. We didn't fish, so we can't attest to that. The campground isn't that big, which isn't an issue, but many spots are small and very sloped. The campground hosts were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to assist if needed. Bathrooms were some of the cleanest I've seen this year! The friends of pilot knob organization were also a positive! They had concessions each day and hosted a movie with popcorn on Saturday night, so that was very cool!”

“Be advised, this place is treacherous! If you are not an expert, Sundown mountain will eat your lunch! The beginner slope, is anything but! If you are just starting out, this is not the place for you! My GPS read 60 mph! If you can’t handle this, STAY AWAY!! Beautiful scenery though! I loved the view, but it was hard to enjoy the scenery when I felt like I was about to die!”

“I needed to join a gym and after careful selection this is the one I chose; after 6 weeks I couldn't be happier. I love coming here 4 or 5 times a week! The employees are ALL so nice & helpful. This place has all the machines. Their class list goes on & on, and they're offered virtually. For newbies, they give a few free sessions if you want them. I have a Trainer, and she is phenomenal. But don't read what I'm saying; go to their web site to see the deets. What I can say, is that I did NOT want to start exercising; but I did, and I'm LOVING IT! If I could, I'd give this place an 11 out of 10 stars!”
