“This is a cool gym. You can tell it's older, and on a winter evening, it's dark, cold, and grungy -- but I loved the setting here. The front staff is very friendly. I just bouldered, but the problems were all interesting, even the V0s. It's also worth noting that this gym has some of the stiffest gym grades I've ever experienced. There are V2s here which are not a walk in the park. They have big changing rooms with lockers (bring your own lock) and showers, towels are provided. There is also quite a big, nice gym area. There are no auto-belays, but many topropes and lead climbs.”

“We hosted a religious wedding banquet at SCVCC last weekend, and it was perfect. By far, this venue is the best wedding venue in the bay area. The setting is gorgeous, and the banquet hall overlooks the golf course and you can see the man made waterfalls from the side. The cocktail area was setup nicely. The appetizers were great. The staff is very professional and competent, especially the director of catering Rosa Molina, who helped us throughout the whole process. Rosa was very friendly, helpful, responsive and easy to work with. Rosa went out of her way, and during her off days, to respond to our messages and emails. Other staff members who helped us include David Urrea, James Hallihan, and Domenic Pomponio. All our family and guests loved this venue and are considering it for future events.”

“In the KidsClub everyone is really good to the kids and they are often reading books to my kids or playing with them. I can put my kids there and know they are being really well taken care of. Kids Night Out also I know my kids are in good hands. Swim lessons work great for us because my kids are different ages and abilities but I can sign them up for the same lesson times and they have the lessons in the same pool just different classes. So I can be there watching all of them! Everyone who works at the Central Y is welcoming and kind to me and my kids. I love my gym and everyone who knows me has probably heard me say that at least once if not more. I rarely write reviews and I am receiving nothing for writing this review. I just really wanted to post this because this gym has been a really good thing in my life for the past year and a half.”

“Friendly staff and coach assigned to the set of people. They hells and guides well. Price is affordable still feel its little costly. Kids enjoyed thir time. Since its my 1st time struggle to find free parking on Sunday. Finally took paid parking near by $20/day. Couldn’t find hourly parking. Its my fault as I didn’t explore parking before going. The studio climbing provides free parking in certain places. Referring the image. Weekends finding street parking is difficult. Its really worth 👍”

“Facilities are state of the art, lots of options for those who like competition style boulders. As a woman who went in alone, there was maybe one woman for every twenty six foot tall men. The setting reflected the gender demographic in my opinion, many of the climbs were not accessible for shorter women and were strength based. Staff was friendly, I think the gym just needs to better reflect its entire customer base when setting. Some of the boulders bordered on more dangerous than it’s worth with giant dynos over volumes.”

“I swim 3x a week in the morning every week for 2 years and never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a lane. I don't understand the previous post from a swimmer complaining they could not get a lane in the morning. And the pool water is fine, perfect temperature.”

“I traveled about an hour and I was not disappointed. I felt very safe because the man behind the counter was quizzing everybody on their knowledge of firearms/etiquette. One group he told that he wasn’t comfortable with their knowledge and asked them to leave for their own safety. Spent 60$ per person. Totally recommend!”

“I've been working out at this for a few months and I love this one most compared to other locations I've been to. This one is cleaner, less crowded (it means the machines that I usually work out with are most of the time are available to use). It is also less noisy as well. The staff are well-trained. They're friendly and always welcome customers to come in or say goodbye when they leave. The machines here look cleaner and definitely newer than other locations. It takes me 5 minutes longer to get here but it's totally worth the trips. Parking is abundant. No worries about parking at all.”

“I asked them if I could reserve the pickleball court for an hour. The price to do this? $48 ($12 / person / day). It's very disappointing that they don't offer a more reasonable pricing structure for people who just want to occasionally use a court. The court doesn't even look that good. I'll be forced to go elsewhere if I need to reserve a pickleball court.”

“While this gym may come with a higher price tag, it offers numerous benefits, including steam and sauna rooms in both men and women locker areas, not to mention a well-equipped boxing studio. The facility is impeccably clean, with fresh air circulating, and there's even a recovery area (although it comes with an additional cost). Overall, my experience with this gym has been excellent. The only drawbacks are occasional loud music and some individuals occupying equipment while engrossed in their phones.”

“If you can afford better - do better. This gym is pretty filthy, not well maintained, overcrowded, and the people who work here are extremely unhelpful and unfriendly. No one ever re-racks their weights, everything’s always out of stock - especially in the bathrooms. No one here has gym etiquette either and will hog equipment while taking 10 minute rest periods. Oh yeah, and it’s always stuffy and smelly.”
