“I highly recommend against getting your haircut here. I had an appointment that that started 20 minutes late because the barber was chatting with her last client for that time despite being done with his cut. Once in the chair my barber rushed through cutting my hair and was done in about 10 minutes. Didn't bother to show me the cut and realized after I got home that not only was my skin fade not to the skin but some parts on the sides were just a little longer so she missed some spots. Very disappointed with my experience and will never go back. Also plan to recommend all my friends and family against going here as well.”

The masseuse asked a lot of good questions and then performed based on the answers that I gave. I've had a lot of massages but this person really listened and I appreciated that. The ladies that gave me and my daughter a pedicure were thorough and did good work. They were also a joy to talk with. This was my second time at Spa on Penn. I highly recommend the place as I've had consistent service both visits about a year apart.”

“I shared before how bad of service the front desk (possibly owner) had when I showed up. For a second time they claimed to have called me, but my phone which I showed them never showed them calling. Instead, she asked if I was from out of town. My assumption is that I booked the stylist last time for the day and since I was a new customer she just left for the day. And because I was not an existing customer, they didn't care. Maybe this is why they have a rotation of stylist. Would not recommend this place.”

Although my design turned out okay, I was left with several painful cuts from the drill and was generally handled aggressively throughout the appointment. Additionally, I was shocked at my total end cost of $50 (base) + $20 (design) = $70 (before tip). I don't believe my design warranted a $20 bump and also the current website inaccurately lists $40 base for dip. I had high expectations given the good reviews of this establishment, but after reading through the bad reviews that are similar to my experience I wish I had been more careful in my selection of this place.”
