“I can not say enough great things about Carbon Salon or Ashlie Hernandez! During our consultation, she got a clip of my hair to test and make sure it would pull properly and luckily for me, it did! I just love how they care for their clients. Yesterday was my appointment and it went great! I was so nervous because I have NEVER done anything with my hair and honestly had no idea what I wanted. She listened to my thoughts/ requests and matched that. Ashlie did a braided balayage, cut 4 inches off, did a face frame and styled it. I love it so much. She gave me some great recommendations for products. I did get the wash and rinse. I will be going back for the texture spray! I am generally an introvert and was a little worried we would be sanding there in awkwardness but it was a great time. Ashlie has a fantastic personality. She really made the entire experience so great. Thank you!”

When it came time to check out I had numerous questions about hair care products and he answered all of my questions without missing a beat and showed me how to use them as well with tips and tricks to lock moisture back into my hair. “I had a delightful day at the Littleton Woodhouse! My 50 min massage with Kristi was very relaxing and she was responsive to my requests. The relaxation room is peaceful and comfortable. I love all of the natural light and the big pine trees outside. I was offered a complimentary mimosa. I had read in reviews that those had been removed from the spa, so I was happy to discover that they’ve been added back. The relaxation room also has some packaged snack mixes, nuts, and fresh fruit, along with hot tea and fruit-infused water. No more Nespresso machine, but I think coffee is available by request. The new sandals are more comfortable than the previous ones. Members of the staff were professional and accommodating. After reading some recent negative reviews online, I was very relieved to enjoy the Littleton Woodhouse just as much as I have in the past.”

She takes her time explaining things to you and she really explains what you want and why it will/won’t work. I appreciate all her feedback and her working with me. She always gives me realistic expectations but then she always hits it out of the park! I’ve been going to her for a year now and she will forever be my stylist. Seriously the best stylist I have ever had. Plus she’s kind and makes you feel welcome & warm. The whole salon is very cute and her coworkers seem very nice as well. BUT I AM TELLING YOU, GO TO JENNIFER!! She’s the best- cannot express this enough! 🥰 I added a pic of some color work she did on me, it was so beautiful.”

“Mary Durkin is PHENOMENAL. I’m not normally “married” to my hair stylist, but now I will not go to anyone else. I’ve gotten a few balayages in the past but Mary absolutely nailed the color and cut. It’s been over two months since my visit and it’s growing in beautifully. I've received many compliments from friends and family, as well. Scarlet Salon is also great. The service and hair products are top notch. This is probably my first ever google review. Mary deserves it.”

“Kelly is Great! VERY precise and thorough with dip powder manicure on natural nail. Easy to get an appointment the day of, I just call that day and usually within 15 mins to an hour I can get in. Well staffed, lots of stations and very clean atmosphere, lots of unique color options. Complimentary alcohol drink and other options. They do love playing Taylor Swift, which isn't my kind of music, so I may just start bringing my own earbuds, no problem. Nice calm cloud painted scene inside. Lots of easy parking outside.”

“I've had my hair cut at this store for over ten years and had a favorite stylist. but, a couple of months ago I discovered that my favorite stylist and several others were no longer working at the Allen street location. I haven't been back and to be honest the other stylists that were working there were totally unacceptable so I will probable not return to the Allen streel location. By unacceptable; I didn't understand why a salon would employ people (and, I use the term people loosely). i.e., weird Chartreuse hair color, body piercings in odd locations, clothing that appeared to come from a painters rag bag among other observations. The one stylist I liked didn't display any of those weird traits. How can I find out where Angela went?”

“dip nails were applied extremely thick to the point where they were sticking to her gloves- were filed down a decent amount but hard to get nails even when they start off thick. no cuticle work done before, so nails look relatively unclean/ like they are already grown out. 15 minutes in and we were already more than halfway into the dip. went back to get them filed down two days after and possibly get the cuticle area/sides fixed, but felt as though my concerns were dismissed, and was relatively uncomfortable to be back. was told that it was so thick because the color (funny bunny) would’ve been see through, and also because i had tips added...totally understandable but felt that the unevenness/thickness could’ve been less so. she filled one of my nails to the cuticle with the clear dip - instead of the color- and it ended up looking worse, so i just let it go and left the other nails alone. i understand that this isn’t a professional nail technician, but do feel the price was not worth the service- if it was $40-50 I think it would’ve been more reasonable. I paid $70, and still tipped $12 :/ will say i’ve had a decent experience here the first time i came, but do think it’s worth it to do your research on techs”

“Highly disappointed with my experience today. I’ve gotten my hair done here once before by Jackie and I absolutely loved it. This time, everything was fine when I arrived but quickly went downhill! I scheduled for a closure sew in with one person and was informed that she would not be doing my service, but instead someone else that I didn’t book with. I was not told until after I was already washed and braided; by then it was too late. This was extremely upsetting due to the fact that there’s a specific portion of booking that ask who you would like, or if anyone is fine. On top of that, the deposit is half of the cost of the service to be rendered in most cases. Why pay such a high amount to book and be told you aren’t getting what you paid for? I am not entirely impressed with my hair either, as it took a long time to complete (over 5 hours including washing and braiding) and the style looks very unnatural. This isn’t due to the type of hair I provided, which is what I was told, but the lack of experience or knowledge, etc. I’ve used similar products and brands of hair with other beauticians and it’s never been an issue. I had high expectations of the salon but it was unfortunately short lived with the lack of professionalism and integrity. I hope this changes in the future to give new clients the experience advertised.”
