Happy they look for new brands to bring into store and they have a good range of brands for furniture, equipment, beauty, nails and hair care.”

They happily squeezed me in without an appointment and took my dry, damaged hair and got it looking healthy again with plenty of layers to lighten the weight. My hairdresser was very attentive and kind, and took the time to explain what products he used at the end to help me style at home. If I lived in Melbourne I’d make this my regular hair dresser!”

Had a cut with Ibrahim, I gave him my picture from the last cut I had (from Arcade's men's biz) its really just a short version of my previous cut. He said its alright might only just use scissors for it (I was having doubt at this point because the last barber had to use clippers) at first the cut looked promising but when at some point he did it well too short. Then I noticed after looking at the mirror after the cut, I lost my original hairline I had before, the back of my head looked terrifyingly bald and round because of it, and he didn't say anything. Not to mention I remember he didn't even show me any mirror to look at the back of my head. The one and only worst experience in Men's Biz. So unsatisfied”

“I found Stáche from an article while Googling the best hair salons in Melbourne. What struck me the most at first is that they accept hair donations which I had always wanted to do. This place is very easy to commute to from the city - you have 2 tram options, 1 and 6. Coming in, it was such a lovely surprise to see dogs are most welcome as long as they don't bark and they can chill while waiting for you to get your hair done. While you wait, they give you a beverage of your choice. The artists are friendly and professional, they communicate well with you to make sure you're getting what you want. I am definitely going back for a colour next time. I hear they tend to not waste products so I'm keen to learn more about that on my next visit.”

Maddie knew how stressed I was due to my last bad experience and was so patience and reassuring with me. In the end the colour came out amazing and it looked exactly how I wanted it! “Sui Hair Salon on Russell is definitely a premium experience. This is not where you go if you want a budget cut, though there is happy hour on Thursdays if you pay cash. The salon itself is decorated nicely, with leather seating, halogen lights and plenty of mirrors that give the salon a sense of space and luxe aesthetic. Reception is very lovely, I have been served by a pretty kind young lady every time. They take your coats and jumpers and stowe away any large bags in their cupboard behind the counter like concerge. For the $38 you will pay for a standard male cut, you get a pre and post hair wash included. This was supposed to be something that gave you a sense of being pampered or cared for but it is far from that. I have been going to Sui for almost a year and I usually get a girl who is very rough with your head and scalp. They get frustrated and move your head to a position that is convenient for them and God knows what they were saying about me in their native tongue to their colleague. The male I got on this visit was more gentle but was also so particular about how you had to sit and splashed my face and shirt a bit with the water. The highlight however and why I am giving Sui 4 stars regardless of the wash experience and price is Catherine. She is my stylist there at Sui and I am so pleased with her service delivery and talent. She is very sweet to talk to and she just handles your hair with finesse, care and total attention. She is very quick with her work and always sports a beautiful smile. Worth every cent I spend to get a haircut I don't have to worry about and know will look great by the end. In summary, I would recommend SUI to those that want hassle free hair cuts and treatment that don't mind spending a bit more than usual.”
