“My favorite part of the visit was where they didn’t know that I also spoke their native language and could understand EVERYTHING they were saying. My braider called me unattractive, fat and made fun of my acne. Another woman who was sitting across from me with her daughters, they were making disparaging comments about her kids. My braids themselves were terrible, but I see why. It’s because they are too busy talking about people instead of focusing on quality of service. I also called the department of health, maybe we should be checking for licensure here!”

“This was my second visit to this salon. Overall, this salon is so wholesome and inviting. Its honestly beautiful to be around black women who are bubbly and kind and energetic. I'm an awkward woman, and even I felt comfortable to chat it up with my super friendly stylist, Ashley. My only bugaboo was the appt time. My appt was at 11AM, I arrived early. I left the salon after 3PM. I got a silk press here before, and it took a little over an hour. So that wasn't ideal, to say the least. Everything else was GREAT. This is a great salon, and I will be coming back for a blow out in 3 months.”

“This is my favorite hair salon I have ever been to. Karla has cut and colored my hair multiple times and she is absolutely incredible. She does an amazing job every time and I leave the salon feeling like a new person. She is truly so talented, friendly, and listens to what you ask for. I live in Colorado now and whenever I come home to Philly I make sure I’ll be able to have my hair done by Karla. 5/5 stars hands down!”

“Love this hair salon, Francis is the owner & is very accommodating, she knows her stuff. Oscar is great too! The prices are very reasonable & include a shampoo, styling & blow dry. Sundays are very busy & there is off street parking the next block. Highly recommend this place. They are really good with copying a haircut fo a photo.”
