“I've been to this salon a few times to get my hair dyed because I don't trust myself to do it so I opted for a professional. The first time I got it dyed, my hair was left bright orange (I wanted brunette) and I was told it would "fade" after washing it. However, the lady seemed to be in a rush and bleached my hair in less than an hour (and I have natural black hair), I was told by another hair salon that this is not normal and damaging to my hair as it felt like plastic. Professionals who do not care for their clients hair should not work at a hair salon? I went again after a few months but booked it with someone else and she did a pretty good job at getting rid of this orange mess. Until my last visit, my hair was completely ruined. I needed my roots touching up and asked if I could go darker as it's easier than going lighter but ended up with multiple banding all over my head. They wanted to send me home like that and told me it was fine... I wouldn't have known until my friend pointed it out as she came with me, I genuinely felt like bursting into tears. The worst part about it was the fact I was told that I needed to go bob length after growing it out for months. I didn't make a big fuss out of it as I was just keeping my tears in. Throughout all this, I could see them laughing at me from the corner of my eye when in fact they should have apologised. They tried blaming me by saying I left my roots to grow out too long but I had visited the salon for a touch up a few months ago. In the end they offered me a discount and I still had to pay for ruined hair I didn't want. I wouldn't go to this salon unless you want your hair to experience long term damage and trauma.”

“I had a half head of highlights done and they ruined my hair. The highlights where not close around my hair line and when I first washed my hair it started to fall out massively. I paid £143 pound for my hair to be ruined and I had to go to another salon to have all my hair cut off. Four weeks later and it is still falling out. EDIT The owner called me today and was very nice, she offered free treatments on my hair while it recovers which was really nice and professional. She took the feedback on board which is good.”

“I went in today following recommendations from friends & family as well as reading online reviews and let me tell you - ZOE DID NOT DISAPPOINT ! I never really had a go to for my hair but i know exactly who to go to from now onwards. Zoe really took the time to hear me, she knew exactly what i wanted and how i wanted my hair to look. She genuinely bought life back into my hair. Shes a lovely lovely individual who made me feel extremely comfortable and valued as a customer. She offered me a drink, we laughed, we joked, she was just brilliant and il be returning for a colour with her next ! It really felt like i was at my friends having a girly chat and catchup whilst I was being pampered. In all honesty, all the staff were great- i had a lovely chat with Charlotte whilst she washed my hair and again - lovely girl who made me feel so welcome. I cant recommend them enough ! “Georgina Scott Bridal, what can I say. As a plus- sized bride, every other shop I went to made me feel that way, like I couldn’t try on the dresses that I really wanted to try. But that all changed when I walked into GSB 🤍 The dresses were in amazing sizes which I was anxious about, but they were generous and I felt so comfortable and at ease. Every single person made me feel like a princess with each dress, and when I found the one (which I went specifically for) we just knew it 🥹 My family wasn’t so sure but when we went behind the curtain, she said to me “I can tell this is the one by your smile”. Every other step, each fitting, alterations and pick up were joyous occasions I would count down the days for! I can’t thank GSB enough for making my wedding dress dreams come true 🤍”

“First and last time here. Had a haircut from Harry. - I had to ask him to wash my hair. I was then reluctantly marched over to the sink. Asked for water to warmed 3 times as it was cold. Before there was even a lather, hair was rinsed I was up and marched back to chair. There was water still dripping down my face. He gave me a paper towel to wipe my face. LOL. I’m laughing now because thinking back, it was actually like a comedy skit. - This guy was the grumpiest person I’ve ever met. He said about 10 words the whole time I was there. No consultation or advice despite me asking. This dude just wanted to go home and made no secret about it. His face was permanently stuck at moody. - I’d liken the haircut to one I’ve had from a £10 local inner city barber. Not worth £29 I paid but as it was Xmas even, I channeled my inner Xmas spirit and didn’t bother complaining. As I’m writing this review on Xmas day I’m trying to add something positive…and I can honestly say, the Iron Bru was really nice. So in summary, Harry needs to actually speak to his clients and offer advice especially if they ask. Maybe smile? Learn some more barbering skills. If you can’t be bothered to work on a particular day, just don’t come in until you can actually be bothered to. Don’t stop stocking Iron Bru in your fridge.”
