“I have been getting my hair coloured by Michelle and cut by Vince at the Kingsway location for years. Michelle is by far the absolute best colourist that I have ever had (and I’ve had many). She is an artist, needs zero direction and knows exactly what to do to make my hair look naturally beautiful. My hair is difficult to colour because it tends to have red undertones which I hate. Somehow Michelle has the magic touch to make it look like a natural blonde/brunette look. My hair feels healthy and fresh because she is diligent in not over processing my hair. To top it off, Michelle is so friendly and kind. Basically she’s a perfect package. Vince is also an incredible hairdresser for both cuts and blow dries. He is great at making sure he optimizes my hair colour. The two of them are an awesome duo. I would be remiss if I also didn’t mention Carol as well who blowdries my hair sometimes to perfection! I love love love the Kingsway team.”

“Had my hair dyed with Rina on July 12, and she did such a great job! I had previously box dyed my hair multiple times with red, which is one of the hardest colours to get rid of, and I wanted to get a silver peekaboo and money pieces. I had previously been told by another stylist that it wouldn't be possible because of the state of my hair and redness colour left over, but Rina insisted she'd try to achieve what I wanted and I'm very happy with the result! She was very honest about what the outcome of my hair state would be (damage, colour inconsistencies) and she also talked me through each stage of the process! My hair didn't even feel damaged from the bleaching. Rina was so sweet, I would 10/10 recommend this place and her :)”

“My first time at the makeup studio and it was a wonderful experience! Karina did my makeup for an event and she was very professional and kind. She suggested colors and makeup techniques that suited my facial features. She made me look so beautiful and it brought a tear to my eye looking at myself in the mirror and she wiped it dry and retouched the makeup! All the staff were passionate about their jobs and the studio is lovely. The brushes that she used felt very soft and of good quality and the makeup lasted all night! Very easy to find parking right in front the studio and in a great location. One of the girls was going a brow lamination while I was there and she explained how it’s done, I’d love to come back for that service on my next visit! If you’re looking for a place for your beauty needs that has great service and passionate employees, I would gladly suggest JenEvoy Makeup Studio!”

“The stylist probably only worked on my hair for 10 minutes. I asked for a curtain bang and she gave me black out curtains. I didn’t say anything on the spot because I didn’t see how my hair fell naturally since she put a hair curler on right after blow drying. Hair length is not even and she chop way too much hair than I expected… There were 0 communication in the process. Not to mention that I had the worst hair washing experience ever… Water temperature kept jumping between hot and cold (at some point it was even too hot). The girl wet my back then apologized and straight out digging into my back and start drying my clothes… I didn’t feel like being treated like a human the whole process. This is my second time coming to GOA. I had a good experience the first time so I decided to come back. And this is the biggest mistake I’ve ever made. I’m my friend’s bridesmaid in 2 days and I don’t have time to go back and fix it since I flew back to my hometown… Everyone reading this review please make sure you do your research on the hairdresser before going… This may not be the salon that you can just go in and trust. Everytime I look at myself in the mirror now I just can’t stop blaming myself for being so stupid.”

“I’ve been getting my nails done at Tips 2 Toes on a regular basis for over five years. It has always been my go-to, despite moving out of the neighbourhood. I’ve had shellac, bio gel, and dipping powder nails done, and all methods have been consistently beautiful and long lasting. All of the staff are super talented, listen to my requests, make creative suggestions, and are extremely efficient at what they do. They also have a HUGE variety of colours for dipping powder. I’ve been to at least a handful of other salons, and did not receive the quality and service that Tips 2 Toes provides!”

“Not sure why this shop has been said the best shop of The Ordinary, so i went to visit today. I have been using their products even in my home town 3 years ago until now, not friendly staff (both of them). 8 July around 4pm. They server well with white and western people but not really to Asian customers like me. I didn't feel comfortable and to be treat like this. PRODUCTS is extremely awesome but not today on shift staff surely. One of them were rude, excuse me, Canada is welcome new comers, but not everyone is fully understand what are the ingredients inside the products or special terms. Staff was not patient to me or explain to me. I definitely had a bad shopping experience in this shop, if you are Asian customers better to go other branches but not this one in Bay. Distrillery District branch may be a better option for you. Strange, the brand is from Canada. But why their service is like this? Definitely I won't go back to this shop or recommend anyone. I don't want my friends got upset like me. I will put on ZERO star if its allowed in Google review.”

“SANDRA! She is amazing. Let me start this review from the beginning. I went to Donato Don Mills for the first time a few months ago and had a fantastic facial from Jamie. Unfortunately, on my way out I had an extremely poor experience with the male at the front desk. After this exchange, I emailed the manager Ashley, and she was so apologetic,kind and professional. She offered me a complimentary facial and of course I accepted. I booked my facial for my birthday and ended up getting a call back letting me know Jamie was no longer there, and therefore I couldn't get a facial. They explained that Ashley had allowed for me to pick any service/services that would be equivalent to the facial. So I booked a hair moisture treatment, trim, and blow out. I have long thick hair that I am super picky about it, after I cut it into a Pixie and have been growing it back. I was a little nervous to go to someone new but SANDRA, oh Sandra, she did not disappoint. She listened to what I had to say, asked questions, showed me what she was going to cut before she did it and did a phenomenal job. She was quick, but took her time with details. Thank you Sandra, my hair feels so healthy!! Also, there were two different ladies at the front desk this time and they were phenomenal. Super kind, professional and attentive.”
