“Yesterday we took all four of our animals to Bulger Veterinary Hospital . One of our cats and one of our dogs are food fanatics. The night before, one of our animals raided the kitchen and managed to tear open a new bag of “calming” treats and eat every one. We had two main suspects but couldn’t rule out the other two. The Pet Poison Hotline said they should be seen immediately. We quickly drove them all to Bulger. The hospital was terribly busy with emergencies, some urgent. They were able to see the dogs quickly and give them emetics, thus proving neither was the culprit. One of the cats was so clearly fine that we ruled her out. Our boy cat remained, but he became uncontrollable when they tried to Xray him. The vet (Dr. Cames ?sp.) and staff made yeoman’s efforts to try again and again but without luck. Throughout our visit the Dr. and staff were wonderful, checking in with us with updates and just generally being informative and supportive. They made our visit welcoming and reassuring.
