Hell's Gates
4.8
( 8 reviews )

Noosa Heads QLD 4567, Australia

“Spectacular beaches and cliff formations up and down Noosa Heads with pods of dolphins and sea eagles commonly seen. Some of the best sea views Queensland has to offer and pathways all along the cliff tops and past a number of beautiful beaches. Very much recommend a visit.”

Wallaman Falls
4.8
( 16 reviews )

Lookout Rd, Wallaman QLD 4850, Australia

“Beautiful right now after recent rain. Facilities are great, maintained well etc. It is very hot and humid at the moment though- make sure you pack lots of water and bug repellent and be properly prepared for the walk down to the base of the falls.”

Little Crystal Creek
4.8
( 8 reviews )

LOT 93 Mount Spec Rd, Crystal Creek QLD 4816, Australia

“Beautiful area, clean, easy parking, great picnic area with tables and amenities. Chilli plunge pools, awesome little hiking trail. Free entry. Was not overcrowded when I was there in November”

Emerald Creek Falls
4.7
( 16 reviews )

Mareeba QLD 4880, Australia

“Nice place. We only went to the bottom of the waterfall and not to the lookout. Because of the floods, the last part was probably more "wet" than it usually is. The last 6 km of the road to the parking lot are not covered with tarmac, so expect to get the car dirty. Also, before the parking lot there is one passing over water which might be an issue for a normal sedan, because of the front bumper clearance (we drove a small SUV and had no issue).”

Coomba Falls
4.6
( 8 reviews )

Coomba Waterhole Rd, Maidenwell QLD 4615, Australia

“Waterfall was low, but to be expected when we haven't had much rain. The water hole itself was full and great for cooling off in that 40⁰ heat we were having. Plenty of shade! Easy walk down with the new steps, be prepared for going back up! It's not a long walk and plenty of oldies were doing it. Lots of flies (typical of Aussie bush) so pack the spray. Take a picnic blanket for the ground.”

Charlie Moreland Camping Area
4.5
( 8 reviews )

Sunday Creek Rd, Kenilworth QLD 4574, Australia

“Great well kept campsite with plenty of space even when we went during school holidays. Toilets in good condition and clean and park rangers made sure the noise was down for all the campers. Access was easy through a couple km of gravel road with a few potholes but nothing a 2WD couldn't handle. Plenty of wildlife around the site, scenic nearby walks and some stunning lookouts if you choose to drive further into the state forest. I hope to be back soon!”

Cougal Cascade

( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

Currumbin Valley QLD 4223, Australia

“Very serene and peaceful on a weekday it's quiet. No dogs as it's a national park. Public toilets, parking is very minimal. Picnic tables at start of walk, easy for kids to walk the paved trail. Chairs along the way to take in the scenery or stop for a break. Listening to the serenity of the waterfalls below is divine.”

Mount Marlay Lookout
4.5
( 8 reviews )

LOT 2 Lock St Stanthorpe QLD 4380, LOT 2 Lock St, Stanthorpe QLD 4380, Australia

“Mount Marlay Lookout offers a mesmerizing panoramic view that's worth the ascent. The well-maintained trail makes the journey accessible, and the summit rewards with breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape. Whether you're a nature lover or a photography enthusiast, the serenity and beauty from this vantage point make it a must-visit spot. The peaceful atmosphere and the sense of accomplishment at the top add to the overall appeal of Mount Marlay Lookout.”

Red Arrow Circuit Lookout
4.7
( 10 reviews )

46-62 Collins Ave, Whitfield QLD 4870, Australia

“No view, the lookout is overgrown with trees and can't see anything. The Red Arrow trail is a decent short circuit, paved and well maintained, although lots of stairs. The view at the top is non-existent, although we did see small kangaroos on the way down.”

Kinbombi Falls
4.3
( 8 reviews )

Kinbombi Rd, Kinbombi QLD 4601, Australia

“A lovely place to visit with good amenities. The parking spots are wide enough to allow a good setup for a weekend stay but not much longer. The falls, when running lend a coolness to the area that allows for a few degrees drop compared to the hotter surrounding area. The paths are not long and are clearly marked, but are quite steep and have no guardrails on the cliff edges in some places. Highly recommend you have a good sense of balance if you intend to go along the tracks. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and would like to soak up some beautiful nature.”
