Escalante Petrified Forest State Park
4.5
( 16 reviews )

710 Reservoir Rd, Escalante, UT 84726, United States

“Small but great! We enjoyed our stay at the Lake View Campround located within the park. We did the Petrified Forest Trail and learnt a lot about evolution and the background of the petrified wood. The store in the visitor center is nice and staff members are very friendly and helpful. A clean and safe place! We certainly return.”

Guardsmans Pass Overlook
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Guardsman Pass Rd, Park City, UT 84060, United States

“Nice drive up from Park City (September) and a beautiful view. Technically, there is no parking at the location and space is intended only for drop off. I did see a van drop off a number of cyclists while there. There are trails leading upward from the parking area and I did a short walk up the hill. Only did about 1/2 mile since technically, I wasn’t supposed to park there.”

Double O Arch
4.9
( 8 reviews )

Moab, UT 84532, United States

“This is a unique double arch at the end of the Devil's Garden trail. We did an out-and-back from the Devi's Garden Trailhead, which was really nice hike. Be aware that the trail becomes much more strenuous after Landscape Arch, with steep, rocky sections that require scrambling over them, route-finding with cairns and exposure to drop-offs. It is uncrowded past Landscape Arch. It is not for the inexperienced or out-of-shape hiker. Take plenty of water. It was pretty warm when we hiked it in late Sept 2023.”

Riverside Walk Trailhead
4.8
( 16 reviews )
Open until 07:00 PM

Riverside Walk, Springdale, UT 84767, United States

“When we went in mid May the Riverside Walk was open up to start of the Narrows. One can easily see why it was closed at the Narrows as the Virgin River was roaring and not suitable to hike in. Very scenic even up to the closure area.”

Millcreek Canyon
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Open until 10:00 PM

3800 Mill Creek Canyon Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84124, United States

“We used to visit the canyon often in the 70s & 80s then the county made it fee based and I never checked to see what it was so we just didn't get back. After all these years we decided to take a trip to see if it was as good as we remembered. It was a weekday visit at about 4 PM and it was sparsly visited. The leaves were beautiful. We stopped and walked through different picnic 🧺 areas we used to frequent. Everything was in great condition. Tables, bridges, footpaths looked like new so it seems the fees are put to good use. I should mention that the fee is only $3.00 but this is in October so it's possible that it is an off season fee. At the risk of getting the secret out, it was beautiful and restorative to be there.”

1012 Recreation Way, North Salt Lake, UT 84054, United States

“What an experience this was. Really nothing special they have security they say, no vendors in the park but yet an amazon driver was given the gate code and entered our site and left with our brand new $2000 skirting oh they didnt know who let them in after telling my husband the women who did it. But lucky for us he has it all on camera. Their mail room is a joke and they dont go by any schedule during Christmas they closed early and we beat on the door until someone opened to get gifts that was delivered. Packages were delivered with photo proof and not get them for 2 days later. There is no manager or so they said after an incident. Called headquarters left 6 messages and still no call back. This was an experience that will not go without justification. So 1400 a month plus 2000 stolen skirting”

Castle Rock Campground
4.8
( 8 reviews )

Fishlake National Forest, FR478, Sevier, UT 84766, United States

“$20 a night will get you nice restrooms, water taps, trash bins, and pass to the Fremont Indian museum. Nice big spaces to camp in for big rigs. Nice gravel and dirt road to get there off the interstate. Beautiful camping spaces surrounded by shrubbery and Pinnacles of strangely formed rocks. Far enough from the interstate that the traffic noise is not that noticeable. Also can use Wi-Fi hotspot in Museum parking lot. Only about 27 mi from richfield, and about 23 miles from Joseph and Monroe which are quiet little towns to pick up groceries, eat out, and visit Hot Springs for soaking.”

Red Hill Hot Springs
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Open until 10:00 PM

Monroe, UT 84754, United States

“I was amazed by this Hot Spring just bubbling out of the ground in the middle of Utah. It was beautiful out there with great views. I took water temps while I was there. At the source on top of the hill it was 151. The first small pool was 104. The second small pool was 99 and the 3rd small pool was around 88 degrees. When I visited there was no one there.”

Angels Landing Trail
4.9
( 8 reviews )

Zion Cyn Rd, Springdale, UT 84767, United States

“This is one of the most spectacular trails I’ve done I got lucky with the permit the day before and hit it the same day but try to get it a few days in advance, getting up there is considered strenuous”

Kolob Canyons Visitor Center
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 08:00 AM

3752 E Kolob Canyon Rd, New Harmony, UT 84757, United States

“Really small center for a real amazing part of the park. The staff and rangers were great. Super helpful, knowledgeable and polite. It gets the job done but they should move some of the money from Zion of this way. Amazing vistas and beautiful hikes. Part of the scenic route, about the last two miles got washed out last year and hasn’t been repaired yet. You are able to park and hike on the road the last bit if you like, which we did and it was great.”

The Belly Of The Dragon (trailhead)
4.4
( 8 reviews )

Mt Carmel, UT 84755, United States

“Nice fun stop. We parked in the lower lot off of 89 and the feature was just a couple hundred feet from the lot. There are a few areas to shimmy down to access the tunnel. We spent about 20 minutes here in total.”

Ken's Lake Campground
4.4
( 8 reviews )

Kens Lake Campground Rd, Moab, UT 84532, United States

“Our camp site was among some willows and shaded. Much nicer than the photos posted before. Many sites are on open ground with no trees but the have a very nice view of the red rocks to the east. No water so bring your own. Nice fire pits and picnic tables. Very close to the waterfall trail and lake trail. There is a camp hist but she doesn’t sell firewood. Need to get that in town.”

Balanced Rock Trailhead
4.8
( 8 reviews )

Utah 84532, United States

“Good sized parking lot and wheelchair access friendly. Parking was available when I went and trails were well maintained. Took maybe 30 minutes to complete the trail but the sun was brutal so don’t forget sunscreen and water!”

Zebra Slot
4.5
( 8 reviews )

Escalante, UT 84726, United States

“A majestic slot canyon in Southern Utah. The hike from the Hole in the Rock road to the entrance was very nice. There was still water in the canyon so we had to take off our shoes before exploring the remote and beautiful area.”
