Historic Railroad Hiking Trail
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Open until 08:00 PM

Boulder City, NV 89005, United States

“A nice trail to do on a cooler day, we went an overcast morning and walked a few miles before turning back as the clouds started to break up, this was mid September, I'd suggest avoiding in the summer as there is little shelter, definitely wear a hat and plenty of sunscreen. The trail is flat and a nice relaxing walk, I'd do again on a cooler day all the way to the Hoover Dam in future.”

Secret Cove Nude Beach
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Carson City, NV 89703, United States

“One of the most beautiful places I've been to in my life. The colors are amazing. It's worth the hike. Not for inexperienced travelers towards sunset. It is a brutal hike back up... but again - worth it.”

Gold Strike Hot Springs Trail Head
4.7
( 16 reviews )

601 Great Basin Hwy, Boulder City, NV 89005, United States

“Wow! Very impressed🙌🏽 Short drive from the city for an amazing and free adventure! Please be careful tho. I’m a rock climber and found the roped climb sections (about 8 of them) still challenging. The reward of sitting in hot springs was incredible.”

Kershaw-ryan State Park

( 8 reviews )

300 Kershaw Canyon Road, Caliente, NV 89008, United States

“Beautiful! Very nice place!! Shallow wading pool to cool off in and for kids to enjoy. Coy pond. Hiking trails. Horseshoe pits and more. Lovely place! Surrounded by a natural spring, grapevines, mint and fruit trees and very nice grass. Beautiful!”

Arizona Hot Spring Trailhead
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Willow Beach, AZ 86445, United States

“This place is absolutely AMAZING!!! I hiked in with a 70-lb pack and hiked out with a 60-lb pack after using water/food/etc. Wasn't sure how long I was going to stay, so I went heavy. I HIGHLY recommend a lighter pack!!! Hahah!!! IN was not bad at all, but the OUT was a bit brutal. WELL WORTH THE PAIN!! I will be visiting here again for sure! Different pools with varying temps. Camped on the Colorado River that night and enjoyed a cold plunge after the hot springs. If you are in the area definitely hit this spot up!! Would give it 10 stars if I could!!”

Garnet Hill
4.6
( 16 reviews )

Pole Line Rd, Ruth, NV 89319, United States

“Google maps will only get you to the general area. Take the marked corner off from highway 50 west out of Ely. Then go about two miles (going past the Google maps destination) and turn right at the BLM sign indicating Garnet hill ( but no arrow pointing right). It doesn't take long until you're climbing a fairly steep dirt road (Subaru Forester had no issues). Near the top you have to turn right again and keep going up. Not too far from this turn that feels like the end of the trail you get to a parking area and scenic overlook. Definitely off the beaten path, but worth it. We enjoyed digging about using sticks and pointed rocks and did succeed in finding several small garnets.”
