Open until 07:00 PM

405 W Brow Rd, Lookout Mountain, TN 37350, United States

“Just a 2-3 min. walk from the trailhead for a gorgeous view of Chattanooga! Plenty of room at the overlook for everyone. Visited in December so there was some ice but easy to avoid. 8 spots of free parking are a big plus!”

Edgar Evins State Park
4.7
( 16 reviews )
Open until 04:30 PM

1630 Edgar Evins State Park Rd, Silver Point, TN 38582, United States

“This review is not for the park, but for the Merritt Ridge Trail within the park. This trail is 8.4 miles round trip from the parking area. The initial trail is a nice walk, but once you get to the connector trail, then to Merritt Ridge, it becomes an obstacle course, navigating through and around fallen trees. At times, getting around the debris can get you off course. I had to use my phone map app to get us back to the trail. Once even using a compass to reorient our path. The trails are well marked, but getting around the trees can make finding those markers difficult. This trail has been seriously neglected and is no longer safe for the average hiker. It took us over 6 hours to hike a trail that once was my favorite place to go.”

“We had such a great time with the llamas. My children 5 & 8 had no problems handling their own llama. The owner was great with helping on the hike and had awesome stories to share. Such an amazing experience. We hope to be back… or possibly own some llamas of our own 🤪 …”

House Mountain State Natural Area
4.7
( 16 reviews )
Open until 06:00 PM

9601 Hogskin Rd, Corryton, TN 37721, United States

“Definitely a good trail if you are wanting a workout. Not a great trail for scenic views. First mile is pretty much all incline. Lots of rocky areas and trail is narrow in many spots due to erosion.”

Elrod Falls
4.7
( 16 reviews )

Elrod Falls Rd, Thorn Hill, TN 37881, United States

“The falls are amazing. Short walk to the first one with a little bridge. 2 swimming holes, 1 at the base and the other right by the bridge. If you are feeling adventurous you can hike up the side of the waterfall to get the second waterfall which is even more amazing, there is a little less steeper path thru the woods. The third falls is an even steeper treck and in my opinion not as much worth it, it's smaller and is where it all starts. Overall it was a blast and the kids really enjoyed it!!!”

Nesbit Park - Stanky Creek Trails

Foster Falls
4.8
( 16 reviews )

Tennessee 37374, United States

“Steep hike, but very cool rock stairs. No flow on 10/10/23 🙁, but still worth the climb. We went down the stairs and back up on the longer trail, using exit 1 to go back up. Rocky trail, so watch your footing. Neat to watch the rock climbers! …”

Fall Creek Falls Family Campground C
4.5
( 16 reviews )

Pikeville, TN 37367, United States

“Beautiful Falls and interesting hikes. Since they were doing some repairs when we visited, some of the signs can be confusing. It is important to stay on the trails and follow signs. Walking off the trail can be dangerous and it also takes years for the ground and plants/grass/trees to recover from being stepped-on. Please follow the signs and designated trails. The Falls are gorgeous, the hike down and back up was a bit challenging but worth it. Wear a pair of good hiking shoes because there were a lot of rocks on the pathway. Bring water and maybe snacks, just please do not litter and leave any trash behind. We stayed at Campground C. They had bathrooms with showers, water and electric hook ups. We didn't need them since we were car camping. The bathrooms were decent. The campsites are closer to each other in person vs on website/website map. But everyone was respectful of each other's spaces. There was a group of deer in our campsite as the sunset. It was lovely. Overall a very good experience. We're looking forward to camping here again. :)”
