Herring Cove Beach
4.8
( 8 reviews )

Province Lands Rd, Provincetown, MA 02657, United States

“Absolutely breathtaking! 1st of all, it's the sea shell collector's galore! Water is so gorgeous and clear and so turquoise! Waves are non-existent! I had a wonderful time just walking along the shore, chasing the headlight- wood end light, i believe. I walked about 1.5 until i turned around. Such a beautiful scenery, pristine blue waters backed up by sand dunes, just breathtaking. Besides the gorgeous scenery, the beach offers lifeguards, connections, showers, and restrooms. The parking, i believe, was $25 and included other parks as well, map included”

Open until 05:00 PM

74 Curzon Mill Rd, Newburyport, MA 01950, United States

“We did 5.25 miles in 2 hours and 15 minutes. A great trail, well maintained and wide but could be marked better. Lots of dog walkers. We saw two deer about 30' from us. We also saw a red squirrel, a chipmunk and a snake swimming in the pond. It was a nice breezy day with no bugs. Make sure to see the tree lined road, gardens, fountain and pet cemetery. Watch out for horse poop and dog poop bags. A nice view of the Merrimack River on top of the hill. The only downside is $5 to park for MA residents and $20 for out of state residents, however there are bathrooms in the parking area.”

“One of the most beautiful places to visit. Lots of birds and great walking.”

Thunder Mountain Bike Park
4.9
( 10 reviews )

66 Thunder Mountain Rd, Charlemont, MA 01339, United States

“I moved to MD from CT recently but I am physically incapable of visiting my family without coming here. This park absolutely exceeds other parks I’ve been to. Trails are very well groomed. The green circle “Sugar Line” is an amazing beginner trail that not only made it possible for my brother who is relatively new to ride but the trail is super fun and has tons of “shortcuts” that I could take advantage of and still have a fun riding experience. The staff are super cool and helpful and willing to answer questions/ concerns. Overall, I have yet to have a bike park experience that comes close to Thunder.”

Sheepfold Dog Park

Fells Path, Stoneham, MA 02180, United States

“Has a nice big open area for all dogs to run around. Everyone I've met so far has been great! . Plus has access to hiking trails, really no land mines in the open area in the bushy area before the trails there's a few but all in all pretty well kept.”

Quabbin Reservoir
4.8
( 10 reviews )

Massachusetts, USA

“Lots to see, lots to explore and lots to do. Bring a bike or just hike so many beautiful places. If your a photographer like me then your going to looovvve this place. I spend more time taking pictures here than actually just strolling around. The views from the top are gorgeous and when you go down to the lake front it’s a feast for your eyes. Always do a tick check because I always always find them on myself. Overall 11/10.”

Dar State Forest
4.7
( 16 reviews )

78 Cape Street, Goshen, MA 01032, United States

“Very nice park. Beautiful pond/lake with beach. Hiked from parking area to fire tower. The trail is well marked with blue marks on trees. The trail is covered with tree roots, so you have to pay attention to where you walk. There is some incline here and there, especially the walk up to the fire tower. You can also drive up to the fire tower.”

Cat Rock Park
4.4
( 8 reviews )

90 Drabbington Way, Weston, MA 02493, United States

“I bring our dog here as often as I can. I'm not from Weston so it has to be Monday through Friday or there is no parking for noon residents. It's a great track in the woods where our dog can run free, play with other dogs, get wet when she wants, and play fetch in a giant open field. A great small hike with/ without a dog. About 1 mile around, but you can double that if you follow other trails.”

“Signed up for their free activities - Wapack Blueberry Hike on August 9, 2023 and Hellcat Birding Tour on August 12, 2023. The staff were super friendly. They are enthusiastic about the nature and wildlife. Wapack is in another area, where the hike is moderate to difficult, and we picked wild blueberries on the way to the top. The Parker River Refuge is a great place to visit. Many people come here to watch and photograph birds. The boardwalks are beautiful. There are seven parking lots, and Parking Lot 1 is where the headquarters is. Many people come to Parking Lot 1 to swim on the beach. There is another beach at Parking Lot 7, but parking spots are very limited and I was not able to park. It was fine for me for I did not plan to swim. There is a lot to see in the whole refuge and it is really a great place to visit.”
