Enders State Forest

( 16 reviews )
Open until 08:00 PM

Granby, CT 06035, United States

“Going to Enders is always an absolute pleasure! I try and visit every time I’m in the area since it offers such beautiful views. I’ve visited numerous times and it doesn’t matter if the parking lot is totally empty or filled with cars galore I’ve never felt cramped or that there was too many people around to enjoy all the amazingness this place has to offer. Make sure to explore both sides up and down for different vantage points and experiences. The far side is a bit more rugged and natural for lack of better terms but the closer side has been redone with beautiful stairs that are exceptionally easy to navigate for people of all ages!”

Tarrywile Mansion

( 8 reviews )
Open until 03:00 PM

70 Southern Blvd, Danbury, CT 06810, United States

“Tarrywile is an absolutely beautiful wedding venue! We fell in love with the grounds before touring the mansion, but once we went inside, we knew this was the place for us. Loraine was so easy to work with and her enthusiasm about Tarrywile is contagious. The mansion is gorgeous and being able to have indoor and outdoor options for the ceremony and reception was ideal. Though we had hoped for an outdoor wedding, cold and rain forced our late April wedding indoors, where we were able to have an amazing ceremony inside the conservatory. Our guests loved how cozy the rooms felt and we had a wonderful experience there. Highly recommend! (We also love the park and trails if you are looking for a place to hike!)”

Kettletown State Park
4.5
( 8 reviews )

1400 Georges Hill Rd, Southbury, CT 06488, United States

“I did the Brook Trail-Crest Trail-Pomperaug Trail Loop. It's a decent work out and each one has its own charm. The Brook Trail offered nice flow of water in the waterfalls...while the Crest Trail has expansive high views over the river. You may continue descending all the way to Jackson Cove, if you so wish.”

Stratton Brook State Park

149 Farms Village Rd, Simsbury, CT 06070, United States

“Beautiful park with something for everyone. There is a small beach, lots of walking trails, fishing spots, and dogs are welcome on the trails (just not the beach). There's a very nice environmental education center (that has stickers for …”

Macedonia Brook State Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 06:00 PM

159 Macedonia Brook Rd, Kent, CT 06757, United States

“Nice park for hiking. There is a flat trail and a couple that are very rocky and hard. Follow blue for the longest ad more difficult. Also, it's one of the trials i've seen with best signs even in the hardest parts with rocks. It gets very slippery if there was rain. There a a few parking areas so you can also choose where to park and how much to walk.”
