18755 Foggy Bottom Rd, Bluemont, VA 20135, United States

“Large outdoor seating area for parties of all sizes, gorgeous views, and great wine and snack selections. Lines for wine/food can get long when busy, but fine if you’re not in a hurry. Look forward to visiting again!”

Fredericksburg Visitor Center
4.6
( 16 reviews )

706 Caroline St, Fredericksburg, VA 22401, United States

“After a Cheer Competition in the area, we were looking to do something in the area. Going online, we found that the FVC was sponsoring a Cookie Crawl. We signed up and traveled down to pick up our map and bucket. They have a little parking lot next to them, but check if it's timed. We were on a weekend after hours. The staff was extremely helpful. They had a little table in the back set up to get you going. They also had free hot chocolate. The center had a lot of information of the area. They also had all kinds of little knickknacks. Who doesn't want a George Washington Bobble-Head! Tee shirts and other things. If you are planning on checking Fredericksburg out, this is a good place to start.”

Alexandria Colonial Tours Ltd
4.7

201 King St # 3, Alexandria, VA 22314, United States

“Strongest possible recommendation for Alexandria Colonial Tours ghost tour with extraordinary guide Jimmy. The charm of Old Town on one of the first good crispy Fall evenings can’t be overstated, but Jimmy’s perfect control of his craft drew us into a spooky pocket dimension. I got chills in the first five minutes. Jimmy makes it a whole multimedia experience too! Jimmy is also an expert historian. His love of learning all about the rich past in the area comes out in his elaborately ornamented tales. Plus this dude knows how to get your skin crawling. My kid was trying to wear me as a security blankie by the end, and I wasn’t trying too hard to get away from him bc I was pretty spooked out too. Jimmy was so kind and generous with all the guests, building a fun rapport with other less petrified kids throughout the tour, they were giving him high fives in the middle of his talk. The adults on dates were talking about how scared they were while we were walking from spooky spot to spot. The ending in the dark grave yard was totally creepy too. And then he let us take turns holding the lantern! What a great sport. You guys should not miss this one. Once in a lifetime entertainment for real, but we will be back soon to do the North route with Jimmy to hear about the headless ghost over there!”

Capitol River Cruises
4.4
( 8 reviews )

3050 Water St NW, Washington, DC 20007, United States

“Great time on this tour. It was my friends birthday and was looking for a unique way to celebrate it so capital river cruises were my choice. You get to see so much on this tour, and there were so many things I never saw before, including the navy merchant marine memorial. The tour is in walking distance on a mall, the Kennedy Center, and downtown Georgetown.”
