“Bought two cheap starter rods from warehouse in Tweed. While fishing three days later one of the handles came off and we lost it to the river. Took it back to the shop only to be told it wasn't 'faulty' because the handles were designed to come off and therefore doesn't meet return or warranty policies. Didn't know handles coming apart and popping off on their own was a standard feature of fishing rods. Must be a new challenge Anglers Warehouse are setting their customers. Then of course they offered me to buy a new reel to put on the rod... maybe it was part of this new challenge they are setting their customers? Was t going for it. Go somewhere else and ensure you check their returns and warranty policies before you buy.”
