“Really nice campsite, beautiful location, spotless clean showers and toilets. Green and beautiful pitches. All well maintained, styled and serviced to detail. With a heated outdoor pool, a gym, car wash and bikes to rent for the entire family. Even the supermarket is great with lots of fresh bread & croissants daily. All quite but still very family friendly. But of course there are also downsides. The restaurant is better to be avoided, the food is good though on the higher side (~120€ for 2 starter, 2 main, 2 kids meals, drinks, coffee and dessert) but the service is horrible. After probably forgetting our 2nd dish and us asking they brought it after half an hour, and then instead of cleaning the table after we finished, it took them probably 30min to ask for desserts which got forgotten again oO... So we had to go and order at the bar... Well well, could have been better.”

“Where do I start!! Although now retired I've been in the holiday industry for over 40 years as an owner of a holiday company and as a travel journalist. I'll keep this simple.... everything about the Torre de la Pena is amazing....at the reception we where greeted by Juan who I later learned is a director of the site...he couldn't have been more helpful and friendly...was more that happy to answer all my questions. The location is the best I've ever visited anywhere in Spain... The plots offer superb views over the sea with the the rock of Gibraltar to the left and Morroco straight ahead. When you visit the bar/restaurant you are literally on the waters edge ..food is great and very reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and attentive.. Shower blocks and toilets are very clean and you see people regularly cleaning. Even the maintenance staff looking after the site acknowledge you when you walk past... Everything is just incredibley well maintained. I can't finish without saying a special thank you to Margerat who I believe is part of the family who own the site...we meet her in the restaurant and was happy to spend time talking with us...it's just a lovely family atmosphere. Can't wait to go back...and very soon and be part of the family again.”

“We stayed for 10 days at the beginning of September. Lovely maintained pitches with gorgeous views. Good price with ACSI at €27 per night. You are given 4kw electricity per day and are charged 0.50 per kw if you go over. We had a tap and drainage on our pitch. Very quiet site with no barking dogs as they are not permitted, which I really liked. The 2 swimming pools are fantastic. They are emptied every night and refilled every morning. The thermal water comes from the aquifers at a very pleasant 29 degrees. It is very salty allowing you to float without sinking which is great fun. The shower blocks are clean but in need of updating (one is in the process of renovation and looks amazing). They don't provide toilet paper or soap which I didn't mind as it seemed to keep the area tidier - no paper all over the floor which happens a lot at other campsites. The staff are very friendly, always with a smile and a wave. We have enjoyed our stay here and would happily come back.”

“Stayed here for 5 nights back in September loved my stay. The location is ideal beach around corner bars restaurants and shops. The staff are very friendly loved the entertainment staff Daniel and Eleanor. The room was good, cleaned daily clean towels. Only thing was the view from our balcony looking out towards the tennis court but of course you can choose pool view which i have just chosen on my next booking. Cocktails around the pool are delicious especially the mango daiquiri. Cant wait to return in June with the pool view room 😊”

“First visit to El Cid Campsite after visiting Peniscola many times. Well we were very happy we visited. Reception staff were very friendly on arrival and very helpful and accomodating. Large plot. Lovely clean showers/ toilets with plenty of hot water. Swimming Pool. Bar/ Restaurant which was open all day staff again very friendly. Paella Wednesdays with drink 5 euros. Buffet at weekends and Disco Sat eve. A very friendly site which allows dogs also. 15 euros a night which includes electricity. We intended to stay a couple of nights but ended up staying for 4 weeks. Will definitely go back. Such a lovely site.”
