“We stayed here in the low season, in early June 2023. This is a lovely campsite. It is well run and efficient. The manager/owner lives on site with his family, is always present and available, and encourages feedback good or bad. The reception staff are very friendly, the pitches are a good size and many are shaded if you want this. The shower and toilet blocks are adequate but not luxurious, and there is a little bar and restaurant. There is bike hire and, I think, canoe hire with launching on the river across the road. The site is well positioned and quiet. There is a very nice sheltered, heated swimming pool which has recently been refurbished, and a jacuzzi added. There are many good quality sun loungers, chairs, and parasols, and a small fenced off child play area incorporated. The pool is probably the highlight of this campsite. Takeaway pizzas are available on some nights and the restaurant was open many nights even in early season. Bread can be ordered from reception the day before. We have been coming here for many years and believe that the new owners have put many improvements in place, which are welcome.”

“Cracking site. Very peaceful. Ile de re is a cyclists paradise with cycle tracks all over the island and feels very safe. Site is well laid out with a pool and bar although this was closed during our stay. Would definitely visit again. We stayed on a privilege pitch with kitchen shower and table. A first for us a treat that was worth while and would do again in the future”

“Great campsite run by a Dutch family. Most guests are Dutch but this was not a problem. The plots where spacious, the staff was really welcoming and the dinner we had was great! We arrived without a reservation and could only stay one or two nights depending on the pitch we chose. So if you want to go here, I would recommend giving them a call first or make yourself a reservation. The toilets where clean and nice looking. Prices where a bit above average. They have a little supermarket where you can order your bread for the next day. It’s a great site for families with younger children between the ages of 1-12.”

“Wonderful. We came here with two families and it was a perfect place for our kids. Places to play and explore in the woods and by the lake. Plus, you could rent a lot of helpful like tents, mattresses, tables, chairs and stoves. That was very helpful when you have little kids. “Absolutely loved this site - will definitely be back. Heated pool or swim in cold but crystal clear river. Kingfishers and trout making regular appearances. We were here at end of season in September so Bar only open Thursday - Sunday. Order bread and Croissants at reception for next day or it is only a 5 minute bike ride to the Boulangerie along a cycle path. Pizzas available in the bar Thursday - Saturday night only - you have to book. Big telly in bar terrace was perfect for watching the World Cup Rugby matches too!”
