“Place was clearly build to be upscale but it's a tad run down. For example, the carpets are a little worn, the wooden doors and the baseboards are scuffed up throughout the hotel, and the no smoking sign on our patio was held on with duct tape. A quick trip to the hardware store could have fixed that. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and it was nice to have to pool/sauna/hot tub/gym available.”

“Staff at check in were helpful and friendly and made sure I had a nice private, sheltered, powered tent site. A lot of the sites have hedges giving a sense of privacy. The seaward facing sites and cabins looked great too. The newish amenities block is built with families in mind. Large bathroom/toilets will hold the whole family. Kitchen is very nice too. Didn't go look at the other facilities. Enjoyed my brief stay.”

“Everything! The location has to be the best part! What a fantastic view! You can see the lake and the church of the good shepherd, with views from the kitchen/dining room/living area/balconies/some rooms. The kitchen is modern and very well-equipped with lots of storage space for food, big fridges and a freezer, plenty of microwaves, etc. The rooms were modern and clean. The beds had charging ports, reading lights, a privacy curtain, and lockers under the bed and free standing as units. Bathrooms are clean and modern. The staff were very friendly, and kept all of the spaces very clean. There is also a pool table, a TV room, and outside seating. Amazing location right next to the Dark Sky Project and supermarket, very short walks to all the nearest cafes/restaurants.”

“Clean tidy linen, carpet could have done with a decent clean or shampoo. No extractor fan in the bathroom ment that the window needed to be open, but it opened into the neighbours area. And with no security latch, we had to close it again while we went out. Pricing was steep if you hadn't booked months in advance. Wifi was ridiculously slow. The pool was clean, and vehicle access and parking were great.”

“♿️ I am an amputee and part time wheelchair user. Very unimpressed with this hotel.👎🏻 🛏️ ROOM 👎🏻 Pays lip service to disability access at best. Small less than obvious rise into bathroom, no cavity slider door, very slippy tiles and a dangerously placed glass shower divider meant I tripped, slipped and cut my toe open. Balcony completely inaccessible to a wheelchair user. Housekeeping even walked in on us without knocking on one occasion. 👩‍💼 I raised the issues with hotel staff on check out. They gave me loyalty points I later find out I can’t use at this hotel. 👎🏻 Next time I tried to book, I find out a disabled room costs more than a regular room and isn’t available for me to book specifically. It seems anyone can book them, disabled or not, they are not set aside specifically for disabled guests. 🧭 location is great, close to the wharf and the waterfront. So it’s a shame so many other things were wrong. ‼️I would discourage other disabled travellers from booking this hotel & it is definitely not worth the costs they charge per room, per night. “This is a well managed and maintained, fairly large park comprised of sites and cabins that has added a number of additional buildings that have taken all available open space and squeezed guests far too closely. Comfort has been compromised. Compared to our stay 14 years ago, things have lost their appeal. Very disappointed. This time we booked a Beachside site that is described as being only steps from the beach and the map depicts a beachfront view. Rather, these Beachside sites have a keyhole view of the waves, no view of the beach and camping sites have been built with cabins having the most minimal of parking and clearance. The dump station now completely blocks all entry and exit when in use. Cars and campers have a nearly impossible time maneuvering the narrow lanes, assigned parking and sites.”

“Stayed 1 night in a unpowered camp site. Made an urgent booking online and needed a late check in. Hayley arranged everything even let me to check in around 12.30 middle of night. Allocate a place where I can find easily in the dark. Place is clean and nice. Kitchen toilets and showers are super clean and you have plenty of. Price is reasonably good.”
