“This is a review for the yugetsusano (Japanese style) portion of the hotel. First time staying in a tatami style room and was pleasantly surprised by the comfort. The hotel also provides you a yukata to walk around in. There are 3 public onsens on site. Maybe it was the time I went, but I had the entire bath to myself. For foreigners, the staff speaks enough English that your stay won’t be unpleasant or uncomfortable. On downside is the hotel does look a bit dated and could use some renovation in the public areas.”

“Just cross the bridge over Takeno River to the west side along the coast on route 11, there is a nice hotel facility camping called Holiday Village of Takeno Coast & Takeno Coastal Camping Ground located on uphill area. The facility provides a nice wooden walking path built through a forest around the coastal mountain with a few observation points from which you can see the entire view of Takeno and Nekozaki Peninsula formed in a shape of a cat curling up on the water. “Perfect mountain view from our room. They also provide pick up service from the station. At kotori, they have silver hotspring, which you need to book your time (45mins per room). It is not convenient if you dont take hotspring or you dont share with your room mate as i did not find any shower room in this hotel. Meals wise, the breakfast was big and plentiful, really satisfying. And the dinner at their sister hotel was superb, menu change every month. I highly recommend hanamusubi if you have budget as they have both gold and silver hotspring. Also to enjoy the traditional way of Japanese hospitality.”

“Very conveniently located, a few minutes walk from Arima-Onsen station. Fantastic food served for dinner with breakfast buffet available. Rooms are like business hotel with more space. Onsen (hot springs) is inside and outside with sauna. Great value for money as you have to spend more if you stay in other hotels in the area.”
