“Stayed at the Monte Sarago Villas in mid September. The villas are located up the hill behind the Hotel Monte Sarago but are accessible via the hotel and up historic steps. It means you still feel part of and have access to the facilities at the hotel. Wonderful hotel staff, especially Teresa, who went out of her way to assist us after Lastminute messed up our booking. We stayed at the villas to have use of the pool and were not disappointed. Incredible views from the villa/apartment and while the steep historic steps are challenging and would not suit all, it did not affect our holiday. The pool and apartments were clean and spacious. Good aircon, kitchen and other facilities at the apartment. Fantastic location as while the centre of Ostuni looks a long way off it is around a 10 minute very pleasant, mostly flat walk away. Reception staff at the hotel were extremely friendly, welcoming and shared good recommendations and local knowledge. Hotel terrace is also a lovely spot to have a pre or post dinner drink with beautiful views. Excellent and reasonably priced house wine. The bar manager and his lovely team get a special mention. We much enjoyed our visit and would love to return.”

“Taking the road through the olive trees to the gates of the Masseria was an experience to enjoy, however walking into the courtyard and then onto our room was delightful. This place is lovely, it has quality staff and all the attention to detail to make your stay memorable. We had the vegetarian taster menu (both nights with different menus) and it was superb, you should not miss it. The dining room is airy with high ceilings and a nice atmosphere. The walk in open fire place was a wonderful area to enjoy a digestive. Plenty of free parking on site, plenty of outside seating areas and an impressive pool area. Book it and enjoy.”

We didn't have to deal with the tourist crowds, and we received the full attention of the hotel staff. They were extremely accommodating and made it a pleasant stay for us. The breakfast was nice, typical continental items; breads, deli meat, cheese, jams, and cereal. The pool was chilly, but worth it to be the only ones to enjoy it. We had a dog with us and this was one of the best places to stay with a pet. All in all with our family, this place was well worth the cost.”

“I stayed in this property the last week of August with my family and a group of friends. The structure is not bad, the rooms are suitable for 3 to 4 people, we were 5 and we decided to stay in two apartments, otherwise the village provides a sofa bed, but in that case it is really too cramped. The bathroom is large but the shower cabin needs improvement. The reception staff is always very helpful, ready to promptly resolve any problems. The beach is quite far away and can be reached with a well-organised shuttle service. The recommended lido is really badly maintained and does not offer any service for customers, there are no showers or fountains, the bathroom is locked with a padlock in the afternoon (because it is known that certain needs are not fulfilled in the afternoon), c 'is a beach volleyball court (if you can call it that, because the net is assembled and disassembled as they please so as not to let the guests play too much, in agreement with the animation team), moreover it closes at 19.00 and there is no possibility of stay to see the sunset, the staff makes you anxious and invites you to move to the free beach. Dulcis in fundo the animation: the only village where you can't have too much fun. Non-existent speaker, repetitive music, totally disorganized tournaments (one never knew what tournaments there were, if there were, then we were a large group and we were told "there are too many of you, you can't participate"), the contact and involvement of the guests, almost all the animators at their first experience and without adequate guidance, the animation chief is completely absent. Repetitive evening shows that could not be defined as shows, given the alternation between Karaoke evenings and group dances that turned out badly. Really a disappointment this animation Maragu.”
