Every bite was exceptional. It was by far the best meal I had in Italy. Mario welcomed me like I was the most important customer, the food was perfection, the wine was great, the family kept coming to check in. The staff was all amazing. I had a truly great experience. “The Eden Roc Hotel was more than a pleasant surprise. At a very fair price for the area, Eden Roc delivers on every level. Our check in process was extremely smooth and we received a very detailed personal walkthrough of the hotel and our room provided by the on staff hotel manager. The room itself was immaculate. A noticeably classic Positano style but also upgraded for the times with multiple region charge ports and a lovely in frame flat screen TV. The room was also filled with every amenity you could ask for as well as a private hot tub on the balcony coupled with a breathtaking view of the Positano coastline. If ever we needed anything take in care of or brought to the room, the staff was always there to assist within minutes. The hotel also boasts 2 restaurants as well as a lush wine room for private or group wine tastings. The restaurant on the top floor is a more classic and broad menu that serves dishes like pasta, salads and meat based entrees. You can also enjoy the daily breakfast buffet upstairs from 7:30am until 10:30am. The restaurant in the ground floor “The Roc” is a very upscale restaurant focusing on gourmet style pizza and a very large library of aged steaks. Reservations are required for “The Roc” so make sure to plan accordingly. We will most definitely be staying at the Eden Roc during our next visit to Positano and I highly recommend that you do too!”

I booked a bed in a 6-bed room, but to my surprise, they gave me a bed in a 4-bed room, adding a touch of extra comfort. The bathroom was not only nice but also impeccably clean. The hostel's location, just a 15-minute walk from the station, was convenient, and the spacious lobby added to the overall positive impression. A standout experience that exceeded my expectations! “This hotel never warrants a 4star rating. It has no facilities at all, no restaurant just a breakfast room. It claims to be near the entrance to the archeological site but that is over a mile away as is the centre of Pompeii. The rooms are tiny and sparsely equipped. The fantastic breakfast it claims to provide is very basic - we had much better in a 3 star hotel the week before. One morning we went a bit later and the availability was even less, and another morning the yogurts on display were all out of date. To his credit the owner spotted this, late on, and removed them. From then on there were no yoghurts. The staff were pleasant and helpful. When we complained about how slippery the shower was, the owner quickly went and purchased a mat, he also gave us a lift into Pompeii on one occasion.”
