“This was the best Austrian experience we could have ever asked for. We came in hoping to find a last minute table on a Saturday (try to reserve ahead if you can - this place is popular!) and they initially apologized and said that they didn’t have any more tables available. That’s when Stefan (the owner - far right in the image) walked up and found us a space to eat and enjoy the evening - and boy did we!! We ended up being the last guests there - drinking Schnaps and singing along with the locals to music from all over the world at the big Stammtisch. The food was excellent - traditional and amazing. But above all, The people at this restaurant are so welcoming and they gave us a once in a lifetime experience. We couldn’t stop Smiling and we couldn’t be more grateful. “Way up on the top of the mountain above Bregenz this gasthaus is in a beautiful location. You can get to it via a 10 minute walk from the top of the cable car from central Bregenz, or if you are brave you can cycle the very steep 8km up the winding mountain road. The place is cosy and the host very friendly. Breakfast is great. No dinner available on Monday nights. Rooms are clean and comfortable.”

“We stopped for an overnight stay on our way from Stuttgart to Milan. We were looking for a legit gasthaus and Bethlehem did not disappoint. The rooms were classic, comfortable and price proportionate. Ours was in the back (away from the street) and was quiet. The location is very good...about a 15-20 minute easy walk into the main town. But...the best part of the stay was definitely the staff. All were very welcoming and courteous, especially Fabio! Do yourself a favor and have a beer or 2 in the small bar and enjoy a conversation with him. Would definitely stay again!”

“The restaurant, SPA and pool are nice and the rooms are clean and beautiful. BUT the rooms are poorly noise insulated and we’ve been assigned to a room below a several children. They made a lot of noise until late in the night. After asking the management several times for a resolution, they were unable to resolve it and offered us a different room at our own suggestion. At midnight, we’ve moved to a different room. We actually wanted two sleep 2 hours earlier. Hence, we would have been glad if they would have gave some sort of compensation but they didn’t. If one wants a quiet place , I can’t recommend this hotel. The advertisement on the website is wrong in that regard: “Finden Sie Ruhe und neue Kraft inmitten des Ski- und Wandergebietes Damüls-Mellau.””

“We stayed at the BW Leonhard on 27 December 2023, and our stay was absolutely fantastic. We had been traveling all day from the US, so we were pretty exhausted. The front desk staff welcoming and friendly. The gentleman got us checked in and got our keys to us very quicky so we could get up to our room. The room was clean and comfortable, and just what we needed after being up for so long. We didn't feel like going out to eat, so we ordered room service. The pizza we shared was very good. Not exceptional, but definitely above average. The view from the room was also fantastic. Breakfast the next morning was probably the best part of our stay. I think it was the most extensive, high quality, and complete buffet breakfast we've ever had, world wide. It was amazing. The only "negative" think I can say about the hotel is that the lift is a little weird. Of the two elevators, only one goes all the way down the the parking garage. So if you're on an upper floor, and take the wrong one, you end up waiting in the lobby for the other side to come down. This was our first time in Austria, so we only ended up staying here one night, however we're planning a return trip next year and this property is absolutely where we'll be staying when we are anywhere close to Feldkirch.”

“We were four when we went to Amrai Suites in February 2023. They were midst of a general renovation of their hotel BUT it was awesome! Super nice location for a fair amount of money. The wellness area is split in two parts. One in the basement area and the other in the top floor. There was a gym and yoga (for free!). Food was amazing (the Austrians truly mastered the concept of Wellness hotels and food). We will come again! As a Swiss, Amrai is super nicely located close to the border. We only had 90-120 minutes from Zurich.”

“A very cozy place in a very good location and beautiful view! The staff in the reception are so kind, helpful and polite! The rooms are so clean and comfortable! The breakfast is good but the two ladies who served the breakfast were so busy and they sometimes forgot to make a table or refill some parts ! You can also have your breakfast in outdoor space with a wonderful view! They have free parking too which is one of the best positive points for this location! I personally think the prices is a little bit high respect to the quality but in overall we had a nice experience!”

“The bus stop to/from Bregenz is right across the street from/next to the hotel entrance. It was very nice we did not have to take the car to Bregenz. It was a quiet place with large rooms, good breakfast, and sauna/wellness facilites. The operating hours of the wellness/sauna facilites was not clearly marked/explained to us. Also, coming from Eastern Europe, it would have been nice to know if the sauna/wellness are was textile free or not. But in the end we had a busy schedule, and would have been unable to use it anyway.”
