“What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this hotel. Me, my husband and our three kids were just there for 3 nights. We have stayed at a few 4,5 star family hotels in the Austria region already but this hotel was by far the best. The room, the food, the service, the kids fun/aqua park and also the area for hiking. Everything was awesome. We are hoping to make it back there during ski season. Not usually one to write reviews but for this hotel I couldn’t not write one. Before we stay at hotels we always check the reviews and try to filter through the legit ones to get a good idea of the place. This hotel gets 5/5 and is worth the money. If you have the opportunity to go there- it will not disappoint!”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as a family of three (infant child). The hotel, room and facilities are spotless and very well maintained. The location is great for the Spieljoch skiing area & there is a frequent bus to Hochfügen. Breakfast is wonderful with a great variety of options. Dinner was amazing as well. Waitress Judith attended to our every need (she is a real gem - one of the best & friendliest hospitality professionals I've ever met). We look forward to returning next year!”

“This was one of the most magical experiences I have had with my family. The staff at the hotel are so kind and genuine, everyone is happy and ready to help you. By the last day we knew everyone by name and truly felt at home! The spa was spectacular, clean, large, and very well constructed. The food was soooooo good. We stayed there 4 nights and looked forward to the meals everyday. The beds were very comfortable the rooms were clean! Great great place to stay 10/10 would recommend!!! “Kaiser hotel is a total disappointment and had ruined our vacation! Really, €400 per night? Are you kidding me? The hotel is old, the rooms are small and simple, no mini bar, they don't even bother to supply hair conditioner/body cream/cotton pads in the shower. Bed linen is old and in pills. There is actually no SPA, the pool is tiny, overcrowded, cramped and stuffy. The food is weak, few vegetables, everything is oversalted. The staff is unfriendly and careless. I was charged €15 for room service! I asked to bring a cup of soup to the room for a sick child (the soup itself costs €7), and this despite the fact that we paid for "all inclusive". But the coolest thing is management zero reaction to the following incident — I went to the spa and severely cut my leg with a piece of glass that got into my slipper. What on earth did the broken glass do on the spa floor? When I came bleeding to the reception they just gave me an alcohol wipe (there is no doctor in the hotel) and said that they were very sorry and it was a bad luck. The manager didn't contacted me, despite me asking several times. Overall, it is a terrible hotel for crazy money, I have never experienced anything like this anywhere in the world.”

“If your looking for an amazing hotel near Kössen, Austria. Look no further! Upon my arrival I was made feel very Welcome. The Lady at the front desk gave me all the deals about the hotel. Also organized me with a card to utilize with the buses. The card is in conjunction with the local tourist office. Great incentive to get people to visit the region and obviously for local businesses. My room was very clean and had a great view. I was really impressed with the swimming pool. Turns out the swimming pool is brand new! Updated last year. The Sauna and steam Room are amazing! Great area set up to relax after a long day out. The breakfast is great! Lots of different breads, cereals and various cheeses. Great coffee, orange juice and water. I highly recommend visiting the restaurant during the afternoon and for dinner. Great choices on the menu. I also recommend sitting outside in the afternoon for drinks. Hotel Riedl definitely rates five stars and more! I definitely will return to this amazing hotel in the near future. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, Lived in the United States for over Thirty Years and served all over the world with the US Marines all over the world. “We are coming here since almost 20 year for a lot of good reasons. The service and the location are fantastic and the best place for people looking for a winter experience away from the crazy big ski resorts. You can do ski tours, hiking, climbing, and you find very well prepared cross-country ski and sleds slopes. If you want to do alpine skiing, it is not fare away and a ski bus is taking you there. The food is fantastic and you can relax in a new built , small but very nice sauna area.”

From the attentiveness of the staff to the facilities, including indoor and out door pool, a perfect wellness area and saunas. Our room was spacious and provided a relaxing place to relax. The opulent and wooden clad bar was just a pleasure to be in! And then on top of all this experience, was the food. We booked half pension.
