“The rooms are ok, though unfortunately very noisy. Sounds from both the hallway and neighbors come through uncomfortably strong. The surroundings here are beautiful and parking is free. The restaurant was a big disappointment, twice. Both days the starter was either bland or just on the verge of gross (half the people stopped eating after a few bites). The main courses looked like starters and consisted of a small piece of meat and a few small pieces of vegetables. You'd expect a plate like this to be part of a larger 5+ -course meal, but unfortunately this was all the food we got. The only option left was to fill up your appetite on potatoes (fries). Shrinkflation dealt a severe blow here and we felt like going to the McDonalds in Geldrop afterwards. It feels that their only priority is to make food seem fancy, while completely forgetting that people actually want to eat good food. (Oh and who came up with the idea that two tiny shot glasses with mayonaise is the right amount to serve a 10-person table?) Hotel personnel is very friendly and helpful. Most people in the restaurant are as well. After staying here a few years ago, especially the restaurant was a pretty big disappointment. It was not only poor value for money, but a bad and frustrating experience overall.”

“I have to clarify that I rated the location based on how nice I thought it was. If I had to rate the accessibility by public transport they would get a failing grade. It takes 25m by car from my house and 99 minutes by public transport. We were there with a large group for a teambuilding/management strategy meeting and used a conference room and a bar in the next room at the end of our day. The service was great and so was the food. One thing I want to mention was that they booked the next guests for the conference room too soon after hours which led to them having to ask if we would please move our group to the bar to make room for their cleaners etc. Which is fine of course but I can imagine it being more of a bother if you don't have a different location to go to.”

The food was fantastic--and it matched the hotel experience perfectly. Like the hotel, dinner always felt surprising and delightful. “Cute little hotel if you find yourself in Tilburg. Rooms are clean, but there were some oddities, like the fact that they didn't provide hand towels, the shampoo was placed outside the shower and it took me a bit to find it, and there was no place to dry our towels. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel offers free bicycle rental, which is nice. And you'll need it, because the hotel is about 15 minutes away from the city center by bicycle.”
