“A beautiful contemporary hotel in a very quiet neighbourhood. Nestled in a pine forest within 5-10 min walking distance to the beach. We have stayed in 5 star hotels before and would say this one tops some of them in terms of rooms, service and the little extras (such as welcome drinks, turn down service provides home made treats every evening, free bike, sunshade etc. and so much more). The breakfast buffet is varied and very fresh, allowing you to also order extras directly from the kitchen. We stayed in a suite with a balcony which was larger and more comfortable than expected. Very child friendly which was a surprise to us given it’s a small boutique hotel. I’d highly recommend a rental car if you’re not there to spend every day on the lovely beach. The on-site restaurant and pool bar are also very good. The only thing missing is a proper wellness center (I guess that’s maybe why they don’t have the 5th star?), but they offer great quality massages in their garden cabanas or indoors. The highlight for me though was the 2x per week free morning yoga classes on the deck!”

“We have just got back from this hotel. We have never been to Portugal before and this was our 1st family holiday. The hotel itself was fantastic, could not fault anything, the room was clean and spacious, the cleanliness of it was really good, the pools were great. The only thing I could really pick on is lack of entertainment for Families/kids. Need more entertainment, more choice. They was 3 sister places and only 1 had entertainment on every night. The only other thing was inflatables in the pool. We were told they no inflatables were to be used in the pool and they were signs up around the pool. We didn't see any signs at all and after this information we wouldn't buy the kids any inflatables, so they then become upset when they seen other families using them. If this is the case it needs to be more clear upon arrival. we did also find we got lack of information too, we only found out as we were leaving to come home that the sister hotel over the road, which we could also use had more big water slides for the children. This info was given to us by another family. Apart from these daft things which can be avoided the place is fantastic, beach was gorgeous...”

“Don't ever come here.. the ac was not working at all.. and then when I asked for refund they said they have to contact supervisor. And then we went into the room there is no water and then we had to call the reception no one was available. The security guard started to check and even after 4 hours and no solution yet I have a small kid and it feels like there is no respect for a customer here My whole hearted request don't come to this place There are so many different locations please book something else and enjoy ur stays..”

“We really enjoyed our 10 day stay here and the scores reflect that. The staff were lovely, really helpful, and the location was excellent. The apartment was cleaned 3 times during our stay. The pool is huge and the apartment we shared with our 2 teenagers was big, clean, and although basic, we were able to cook some lovely meals on the induction hob with the equipment provided. Critical points (which are really only picky because nothing affected our enjoyment - we'd go back - so please read in that context) - it's a charming place but to give a bit of balance: the pool isn't lined with traditional smooth tiles and it can be abrasive to the careless (or those wrestling 2 teenagers), the pool could also be cleaner particularly when it is being well-used by residents. I note from other reviews, comments about decor being dated but overall the hotel looks good - in the apartments there are some tired elements but we still felt comfortable. We didn't make use of the restaurant, which was €15 per person for breakfast and €35 per person for dinner (which we were told was on a buffet style, all you can eat basis) so can't comment on the quality but it seemed busy. We just weren't looking for buffet style meals. It's a tiled hotel and hence you can hear noise from other guests from time to time - I don't know that we've ever stayed anywhere in a hotel that didn't have that issue to one extent or another. If you are looking for high end luxury this maybe isn't the place for you, but equally, it's not asking high end prices. For any critical points we might make, we'd absolutely recommend it and would return. We had a good laugh, enjoyed local beaches, kayaking in and around caves, incredible restaurants in the vicinity (notably the Vau Steakhouse which was absolutely superb), took trips including to Alvor which is lovely, and generally relaxed and had a really good time... So overall 4 stars and a big thumbs up. Thanks to the hotel for playing their part in giving us a really lovely base for our holiday.”

“We got home today after a week in this hotel and I have to say we were beyond impressed. Fantastic hotel for families, 3 pools (indoor/outdoor) including one with slides and pool side bar. Staff were absolutely lovely and as the Portuguese normally are, fantastic with kids. Bar is ideal, great lunch and evening evening food, reasonable prices for the most part (although cocktails and vodkas were a little pricey). Rooms are spotless and well above 'fully equipped' (there's pots, pans toasters, mini ovens and simple utensils you would generally never find in other establishmens, but need). Pool was kept so clean with staff coming to empty bins on grounds regularly. We ordered a birthday cake and balloons late in the evening when we arrived for my son's birthday the next morning and the cake was absolutely delicious and we were so happy they could accommodate us and really appreciated this gesture. There's plenty to keep the kids entertained all day, water football in the pool, zorbing, aeriel walking, beach nearby and local villages a short walk (20mins) and albuferia 10min taxi (about €10). Overall I would highly recommend this hotel, it's possibly the best I've been to for families ever. We are booking already for next year. Thank you guys”

“Rooms are decidedly average, but have nice balconies. Mini-fridge is a bonus. Service was fantastic, in house breakfast inclided boiled, fried or scrambled egg. Real OJ is extra and a bit pricy. Warm pool, gym and spa on site are nice perks if you use them. Location is fantastic, but hearing the church bell right across the street is a bit annoying. Cafes amd eateries abound in the area. Quick walk to the market if you are looking for simple food. Communal microwave available.”

“Very nice place to stay! 5 min from the strip, aprox. 15 min from the old town, about 10 min from beach. Friendly staff, cleaning every day. Kitchen has all stuff that u need, if you cook and clean here. Few restaurants and a shop on the terotory. Parking. Pool!! We had a wonderfull time here!”
