“The villa is newer and spacious, but comes with a few issues that make me give a poor rating. The 15L water tank isn’t sufficient for hot showers. There is a lot of bugs constantly and seems to be no pest maintenance or even all out. There was a broken blind in a room which made us not use it due to privacy. The manager didn’t attend to our concerns in a timely manner and never met in person to try to resolve them and just forced his staff to try and resolve but didn’t empower them to adequately resolve things. The facility staff try their best and do a good job. The food was always good. They don’t speak English so I don’t recommend to foreigners who don’t speak Hindi or Tamil. There was an issue with our keg being misplaced and when we came back in the evening the last night our place was left wide open and we had tons of bugs and a security issue for all of our valuables. The manager failed to fix these issues.”

“Location is amazing and staffs are friendly. Parking space is limited as it is a hill station. Roads are narrow and steep. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Food is okay, homely taste. We stayed two nights with family. First night we reached late night and our room had some technical issues and they put us in their villa, personally we didn't like the villa, but those who like more privacy may like it, but for food you need go to their main building. Overall okay, but bit expensive I feel.”

“Stayed here for one day/night while visiting Chennai for an official purpose. The hotel could be rated as above average from my experience. Pros: 1. Convenient location. This hotel is located exactly where someone would want to. It’s just opposite to Koyambedu bus stand and one would easily catch bus to any part of the city/state from here. 2. Staffs are polite and gentle. 3. They provide complimentary snacks and breakfast to their guests. And food was good. 4. Ordered lunch from their kitchen and it tasted good. (N.B : prices are on a higher side) Cons: 1. The rooms are maintained poorly. It’s clean but the settings are very old and lightings aren’t great either. One could easily identify that it needs to be improved. 2. TV was not working. It wasn’t much of problem for me as i was engaged with work duties. However, that would not be the same for others. Overall La castle could be considered as an option for staying one or two days for a business tour or family trip. Rates are bit high when you analyse the quality of rooms and service provided. But i think it would do justice to the prime location of hotel.”

“We stayed two days in this hotel. As the name says it really feels like a home stay only. Their services were really appreciative and the rooms were clean and spacious. The area is neat and calm. 24hrs heater facility and ample car parking is also available. The only thing I felt hard about is they are not providing food but you can order nearby. They can even arrange for autos for the temple visits if you need. Overall worth the money.”

“We stayed at Rathna residency for 4 days. This is very close to the US consulate. The room was spacious and neat. The hospitality is highly appreciable. The hotel staff were kind and helpful, especially Mr. Dhanraj at the reception and Priscilla, who manages the restaurant. The complementary breakfast items were delicious. Since the food was really tasty, we also had lunch and dinner from Rathna on all four days of our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and a memorable stay. I will definitely recommend Rathna residency to all my friends and family who visit Chennai.”

The lack of clear directions, narrow access routes, and distant location from the main market make reaching the hotel a challenge, particularly during the year-end rush. The absence of nearby dining options compounds the issue, as going out for dinner becomes an arduous task due to heavy Ooty evening traffic. The challenging terrain rules out walking to eateries. The hotel's dining facilities disappoint as well. The food quality is subpar, leading to upset stomachs. The cafeteria staff lacks professionalism, and hygiene standards are notably inadequate, with old and unclean plates and cutlery. In conclusion, given the high cost, the hotel fails to provide a satisfactory stay. Management should address these issues promptly to improve the guest experience and justify their premium rates.”

“One of the worst people working there with absolutely zero knowledge on how to talk to customer. Arrogant, stupid and ignorant wokers in the staff office. Worst experience of staying there, after booking for 1 and a half days with paying the amount earlier, mentioning it it’s for a wedding get ready, they are asking questions about visitors coming to the flat. Is basic common sense of having makeup artists and others to assist the person with getting ready for the wedding event. Although having clearly spoken about all this and confirmed it earlier before paying them, they charged extra for 3 people for staying there. What a waste of money, would have taken few good rooms elsewhere for the money of 7000 rupees paid for one bed room apartment from early morning check in until the next day 12pm check out. Disgrace!”

Fire Camps for Youngsters., college students as well as family members too and meant to enjoy the real weather and good night but We were forced by Resort Members to close our fire camp before 10:00 PM just because some families stayed around and we walked through a KM outer near to the entrance of the resort to vibe ourself.! To be Honest the resort people are really cooperative for each and every individuals thoughts and enjoyments., they served quality food., good refreshments in the morning but little late due to heavy crowded people as it was the long weekend.! FYI Boomers - We too stayed in that resort as family and friends., We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend with my family and friends. I’m requesting family members., if you really want to enjoy the trip then you are pretty much sure to have your stay in this resort and it’s worth for money.!! If you want to sleep like how you do at ur home don’t prefer rather you have so many rich resorts around with good sound proof rooms and no disturbance around.! Resort people to improvise Housekeeping.! Time Management to manage customers if over crowded.! Workout well how to manage different Kind of people.! “It's basically a big club house that's to be shared by the owners of the surrounding farm houses and plots in a gated community. Has basic facilities like a party hall, carrom, table tennis and billiards. The pool was undergoing renovations. Place was quite dusty and needs work. Staff were friendly and willing to help. The lawn is beautiful though.”
