“Lovely natural camping (there's also huts available for rent but I can't say anything about those) with generous plot sizes for tents and good amount of trees for shade. Kids absolutely loved the creative and exploration activities provided by the camping as well as (natural) swimming spots. Also the location is nice that there's plenty of cycling and walking routes around. The pizza from their pizza bar is also definitely worth getting.”

Also the airconditioning fan made small noise. So suggest you to take some earplugs with you if you'd stayed with 'De Schout'. The staff was really nice.”

“Beautiful place!! We enjoyed it so much , we had the chance to walk through the woods and explore the surrounding area 👌🏼 it was amazing! Also we used the pool and maybe would be great to regulate the temperature a little bit warmer for the winter so you get the chance to enjoy it for longer times. The chocolate that sometimes they give you at the room is sooo good! (Wish they gave you more 😅) I’m not sure (probably because it’s not a really touristic area) but there’s no English or other languages menu but would be great if they had at least the dinner menu in a digital form in another language , I know it’s hard and it changes every time but at least if you know you have foreigners as guests you can get it for that days and that would help a lot for the guest and for the waiter too because sometimes we all had a hard time trying to translate excotic ingredients ☺️ Hope to get back soon!! ☺️”

“We were really pleasantly surprised by Residence de Eese. The site is amazing. There's an air trampoline, a big outdoor pool with a separate smaller pool that was perfect for my 3 and 4 year olds. There's a considerable indoor soft play, and a mini carousel. There's ponies, alpacas, an emu, guinea pigs, and various birds. There's a mini train. At least 3 play areas. All included. Very few cars on site so my kids were whizzing around on their bikes. It's surrounded by woods so we had a lovely day walking in the woods, and another day visiting Giethoorn. We're now back in Oxford and my kids keep asking to go on the 'bouncy pillow'. Accommodation was nice and provided hand soap, teatowels, dishwasher tablets, etc, and also a fully equipped picnic basket which was a nice touch. Only drawback was checkin/checkout. We had planned to arrive around 6, but got a phonecall at 2.30 on Sunday asking if we were still coming as checkin closed at 4, so we had to abandon our afternoon plans and jump in the car. We tried to check out at 7.30am (ferry to catch), but not only was the office not open there was no box or slot to deposit the key, I left it balanced on the door handle. For such a large site I think they could work on having later/more flexible check-in.”

“A beautiful converted farm. Which you can visit either with carvan/ camper or rent a room in the converted barn. Beautiful views. Many walk routes through the local forest. Village is about 10 min drive which has every convient store you will need. 20 min from city Enschede for more shopping needs. This farm is child friendly, has a lot of space to run around, and a playground with swings and trampoline. My kids loved it. They have their farm dog named Joep, who waited nearly every morning for us to get up and play with him. There is a possibility to have breakfast in the communal area, which is cosy and welcoming. There is a Dutch word for it : gezellig. We loved our time here and it is highly recommended for a family or people who love the outdoors.”
